Situated along a main road, handy for exploring attractions including the stunning Millennium Coastal Path with miles of cycling routes to The Gower Peninsula and the harbour town of Burry Port. Visit Pembrey Country Park offering miles of forest tracks, horse riding trails, dry ski slopes and 7 miles of beach. Nearby is the Jack Nicklaus golf course, Llanelli Scarlets’ rugby stadium, Pembrey motor sports centre and race track and the Ffos Las racecourse. Enjoy Tenby with beaches, restaurants and theme parks. Shop and pub 100 yards, restaurant 1 mile.

This was our second visit to the cottage, the first being in 2017.

This was our second visit to the cottage, the first being in 2017. The owners have spent a lot of money on the cottage making it a very pleasant place to stay. The location is central making it easy to visit the Harbour/beach in Burry Port, Pembrey Country Park/beach and the nearby towns of Carmarthenshire and Kidwelly. The owners are very helpful and friendly, on arrival there was milk in the fridge a bottle of wine, a large box of chocolate biscuits and some jaffa cakes. Would highly recommend for a relaxing holiday near the sea.

It was a well presented lovely cottage and we had a comfortable stay. The owners are accommodating, & helpful. The welcome pack was very thoughtful. The location is perfect to explore south Wales.

Lovely! We were in a cottage in Scotland earlier in the year and the owners do not provide a welcome pack, nor bath towels and basic provisions left for us were "minimal". By comparison at Rose Cottage you have the owners on site, lovely people who care for your wellbeing. Truly this has been quite privilege and we would hope to return in the near future, finances permitting. The area has much to offer, especially for two folk who have daily struggles with arthritis.

I had a great few days at the cottage.

I had a great few days at the cottage. It's a bit olde worldly but its probably the cleanest cottage I've ever stayed in and I stay in about half a dozen a year. Everything was perfect, all the gadgets you need to make this a comfortable base in which to get around and explore the area. Beautiful beaches and fabulous skies at Burry Port and Pembrey. No arcades and buckets and spades in your face just clean sands and miles of flat walks. A chippy, a coop and a few pubs and parking right outside your door. Valmai is next door but far enough away to give you peace and privacy. Thank you

Beautiful cottage. Perfect for a relaxing, stress-free holiday. Really enjoyed our stay with our dogs. Fantastic opportunities for walking and beach but be prepared to travel if you want anything other than basic shopping facilities.

Lovely week at this comfortable cottage with family of 5 plus 2 dogs.

Lovely week at this comfortable cottage with family of 5 plus 2 dogs. Helpful and friendly hosts and a thoughtful welcome pack on arrival. Very comfortable beds and all the appliances you could need as well as a lovely enclosed garden for kids and dogs. Lots of extras like toys, a bag of dog blankets, slightly eccentric DVD collection, books and games. The only slight criticisms would be that the décor is very dated - did not bother us at all as it was cosy and friendly but if you want a modern minimalist look then this is not the place for you! The location is next to a busy road which can be noisy, especially if you leave a window open. However, there is a front gate to prevent doggy escapees onto the road and there is off road parking (on the wide pavement). The stairs are also quite steep and there are steps into the garden and between rooms on the ground floor - so wouldn't suit anyone with mobility issues. I'd certainly book again.
