We had a lovely stay in the cottage. The cream tea on arrival was much appreciated and it was lovely to be able to see the sea from every room. The cottage was a great base for us to walk sections of the SWCP between Bude and Rock. Having the washer, dyer and dishwasher proved to be really useful. The only minor issue was that we thought the mattress in the main bedroom was too soft for our liking, so we used the the single beds in the second room instead. The food from local chippy was very enjoyable as well.

Such a wonderful week spent at Downhouse Cottage.
Such a wonderful week spent at Downhouse Cottage. John and Gina could not be any nicer or more accommodating and the cottage was everything we wanted. All facilities catered for and views for miles. the sunset from the twin bedroom window was worth the money in itself. We will definitely be back and I would like to say to anyone if you're thinking about this cottage just book it, it was a little haven for us and I have come back home feeling refreshed and raring to go again .

Great location with stunning views on the cost.
Great location with stunning views on the cost. Very quiet area. Very helpful landlord.
Rooms rather small but big enough for 4 people. Nice and cosy atmosphere.
Bathroom a bit small but ok. Cottage can be cold if windy and cold outside but wooden fire and extra electrical heaters and more than enough to keep it warm inside.

The cottage is small but nice.
The cottage is small but nice. It need few touch ups like "wobbly" tabs but it's not a big issue. It is located in a beautiful spot and just few minutes drive to all tourist attraction such as Tintagel Castle, Boscastle and many more.

We enjoyed a lovely bank holiday weekend staying at Downhouse Cottage, as two couples and a dog! A cosy cottage with enough room for all of us and everything we needed for self catering. A lovely, quiet, country setting but only a quick drive to the coast.

Our second time of staying. Owners are such lovely helpful people. Views are simply stunning. Location is perfect and it’s really easy to get to the surrounding larger areas to visit. Can not recommend enough and yes we will return for a third time!
