Travel cot, highchair and stairgate available on request. Welcome pack. Enclosed garden with patio, sitting-out area and garden furniture. Barbecue. Bike store. Hot tub (private). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a pond in the garden of The Old Hall.. Hall Farm Cottage is a detached 500 year old barn conversion with uninterrupted country views, where couples can enjoy quiet and seclusion on the private patio or in the hot tub. Byers Green is situated within 15 minutes’ drive of both the historic city of Durham with its mainline rail link, and Bishop Auckland, home of the Prince Bishops at Auckland Castle. The site has no through traffic and is a rich haven for birds and wildlife, with country walks from the door and cycle tracks. This is the gateway to the Durham Dales, Weardale and Teesdale, with splendour at Raby Castle and Bowes Museum, industrial heritage at Killhope, Beamish and Shildon. Visit Keilder Water, Hadrians Wall, the Northumberland Coast and the Lake District. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Hall Farm cottage is in an excellent location for exploring County Durham, the cottage itself is of a really high standard with a well equipped kitchen and with more than enough utensils for two people, we found it very comfortable with an added bonus of a hot tub.If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing breakaway Hall Farm cottage is perfect.

Cosy getaway

Fabulous mini break, just what we needed.

Fabulous mini break, just what we needed. The cottage has everything you could need for self catering. Lovely and clean. Cosy and warm. Friendly owner. The photos don’t do it justice, they look lovely but it’s so much nicer in person. We didn’t use any local amenities but they would be easy enough to navigate if needed. Would definitely recommend to others.

Couldn't fault the cottage and the hot tub clean tidy only thing was bed wasn't to comfortable but that really is down to personal preference.It had everything you needed and had information regarding the cottages and the history really nice touch.Over all brilliant and peaceful would i recommend yes would I go again yes 🙌.One more thing a switch for the exterior lights would have been great while being outside to star gaze but again personal preference.

Cottage is lovely, however had an issue where the WiFi didn’t work for three days of our stay meaning we had to upgrade phone data just to stay in touch! However, hot tub was lovely and the cottage was very clean and comfy. Only improvement would be a bigger sofa as we both struggled to get comfy on that!

The cottage was spacious, well-equipped, tidy and comfortable.

The cottage was spacious, well-equipped, tidy and comfortable. We liked the added extras of the welcome pack, hot tub and log burner, with a fire already set and additional supplies provided. The location is quiet with walks from the doorstep and occasional buses during the day to nearby towns. Thomas Wright house in the village serves food daily and there are a variety of meals available. The Royal Oak pub is also close by and serves 1 real ale which is very reasonably priced. Overall a lovely place to stay. Keep an eye out for the barn owl early evening.
