Hastings is a delightful two bedroom, two bathroom self catering cottage which is perfect for two couples or a family of four. A deceptively spacious cottage, Hastings has views of Latrigg from the lounge and front double bedroom. It benefits from private parking to the rear of the cottage and has outside seating in its enclosed rear courtyard. With a downstairs shower room with a large walk-in shower while upstairs there is a luxury free standing bath.

Situated in a quiet residential area, the cottage is just ten minutes’ walk from the shores of beautiful Dewentwater, with its lake cruises, rowing boats, Theatre by the Lake and the famous viewpoint of Friars Cragg. It’s also just five minutes’ level walk to Keswick town centre and its wide range of shops, pubs, restaurants and visitor attractions, including the world famous Pencil Museum, Keswick Art Gallery and Museum and the original Alhambra Cinema. Hastings is perfectly situated with a choice of fell top hiking and low level walks available straight from the front door, and is the perfect cottage for a quiet scenic break or for enjoying the wide range of outdoor activities Keswick has to offer.

Excellent cottage in the heart of Keswick. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days there. Well equipped and a very comfortable stay, We would thoroughly recommend and hope to return.

We stayed at Hastings last week, our first time in the Lakes. The location was perfect, only a 10 minute walk to the Town or Lake.The house was perfect size for us (2 adults and a dog) and we don’t really have any issues at all.Only minor comments are that a stair gate would have been useful to restrict access for the dog going upstairs - our dog doesn’t go upstairs however if you came in with a wet dog there would be no way of stopping them from going upstairs.Also the parking space is tight. I have a long BMW estate which does fit on the drive but I would recommend accessing the space from George Street off of Church Street and reversing in.Finally the door into the lounge from the kitchen does not latch properly so it was difficult to restrict the dog at night without building barricades with the chairs.Other than these minor points we were very happy with Hastings and would return.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hastings. Very cosy. Kitchen fully equipped with everything that you need, was fantastic to have a dishwasher. The only negative is one of the mattresses on the single beds was lacking support and my adult son found it uncomfortable. Car parking space a bonus but as mentioned in the description will on!y fit a small car although we were lucky enough to get a parking space right outside. Perfect little getaway.

Perfect little getaway. Right in the centre of Keswick but so quiet. It was great to have a parking space despite it being a little tricky to manoeuvre into it. The house was immaculate. We were warned that some 'multi touch' items may have been removed due to COVID19 and it seemed a shame that there were no cushions and none of the usual books and games in the lounge, so recommend you bring your own for extra comfort and convenience. The place did have a lovely feel to it though and we would definitely return. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Hastings is a lovely and deceptively spacious cottage , an easy 5 minutes stroll from Keswick centre. It is equipped with everything you could want and more besides, even towels and tea towels. As others have commented, the parking space is difficult to access for a larger car , so as we have a VW Estate we managed to park directly in front of the house and had no reason to move it for the whole week as we walked everywhere. I would recommend getting there well before the 3pm key Collection time to get a decent parking space near the cottage before the rush, the office is only a few minutes walk to collect the key after having a look around the shops and maybe a beer . All in all we would definitely return to Hastings , much better and more spacious than other cottages we have stayed in and out Labrador loved it too !

We decided for this cottage because of the private parking area.

We decided for this cottage because of the private parking area. Unfortunately the space is so small, that we could not park our Volvo V 70 there. So we had to park on road which is espacially on weekend a problem in this area. We think it is better to describe the private parking place as usable für small cars in your decribtions.

Very happy overall.

Very happy overall. Once drains and leaks were quickly sorted, inside the house everything was great. I thouht outside could be smartened up a bit - weeds killed, plants trimmed etc. But basically it was great. Very practical for family of 4 plus dog. Thanks so much.

We counted our blessings every day that we had a parking space waiting for us as the streets get very busy at Easter time. We had the perfect weather for walking the mountains with our two dogs and it was lovely to come back to a holiday home which felt like home and had all the extras which made life easy. We will certainly return as soon as we can. Thank you.

Good location, comfortable cottage with nice furnishings. Only downside is it has parking to rear which is an important factor, but neighbouring residents park in ten -foot making access extremely difficult
