Felt at home in Brookside Cottage the only down side is no parking. Well equipped kitchen, nice lounge area. Even though it was cold outside it was nice and warm inside the cottage.

A beautifully appointed cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
A beautifully appointed cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Excellent location for a choice of pubs and places to eat. No parking directly at the cottage meant parking at the church but this posed no problems to us. Was going to book it again for a return visit but was shocked at the markup in the price for over the Easter break.

We loved the cottage and beautiful garden.
We loved the cottage and beautiful garden. Very comfortable with a large living/dining area and spacious kitchen.
We loved our stay in Brookside Cottage, particularly the wood burner, as we had a wet and windy week.
I’d suggest two small improvements: the floor is being cleaned with something that makes it super slippy, so not suitable for the very young or the very old. And we would have loved thicker curtains to keep out the dawn light at 4.45am!
Otherwise, all good and had a very happy week here.

This place is located in a perfect location.
This place is located in a perfect location. The village shop and local pubs is just a few minutes walk. The outside seating area was absolutely beautiful with the springs flowers in the garden, the brook, mountains in the view and what an excellent week we had with weather. Cleanliness was very good and the cottage was very comfortable. I felt what was missing, it would have been nice to have a bag of logs and maybe a pint of milk in the fridge with a small quantity of tea bags as a small welcome. The hot water tank is not big enough to accommodate more than one bath with showers in the top bathroom, bottom bathroom Ok as it was an electric shower. Yes it is a cottage I would recommend and I will at some point come back again.
