We loved staying at Topsey Turvey again.
We loved staying at Topsey Turvey again. It is in a superb location and has everything we need. The cottage is well equpped, but we thought it could do with another chopping board as there was only a small bread board for chopping veg.It wasn't as clean as we expected (and had experienced before), there were used towels and some bits that hadn't been cleaned thoroughjly, when we arrived, but overall really good.Staff at the Office were really helpful too. We'd definitely like to come back.
The house was nice. It suffered from overheating due to VERY hot summer days and inadequate insulation (may be a problem in winter) and was difficult to ventilate (needs opening windows to rear and some fans). Location is good for getting to shops etc but being in the back yard of a pub is a bit noisy (brewery vans at 8am, drunks at 1130pm). The garage MUST be used to avoid blocking the yard but its door is rather a squeeze for a large-ish family car (Mazda CX5). Leather sofas not ideal, and REALLY weird Xmas decoration in the kitchen, in August.
On the other hand, Keswick is a great place for exploring north Cumbria from and we had a really good holiday!!

Ideally located in Keswick to explore the local area, with lots of space and well presented cottage. A great cottage for our week’s break in the Lake District and plenty of local facilities and amenities even with current restrictions.
Would recommend and ideal for a couple or small family.

Our 2nd stay at Topsey Turvey and just as good as the first some years ago.
Our 2nd stay at Topsey Turvey and just as good as the first some years ago. Everything felt very clean which was important due to Covid 19 as we had a wide age range in our party. Only tiny issues with very squidgy sofas, no cushions which had been removed as a Covid measure but made them a bit uncomfortable. Also the garage is quite narrow so a bit challenging to navigate. All in all a great stay, perfect location just inside the Keswick pedestrian zone and we’ll definitely go back.

Bathroom down stairs needs overhauling.
Bathroom down stairs needs overhauling. Shower leaks onto floor because there's no seal in the bottom of the shower screen hinge. This must have been like this a while as the skirting board in all moulding and rotten. Other than that everything was fine :-)

We really enjoyed our week in Topsey Turvey.
We really enjoyed our week in Topsey Turvey. We were 4 adults with 2 cars so the garage parking which just about fitted our Corsa in and the parking space in the nearby car park were definitely a bonus. Staying within the centre of town, in a quiet area but with all the attractions of Keswick on your doorstep was super. The property was quite comfortable and spacious although the twin bedded room was very small but would be ideal for two children. The beds were a bit worn out. The property was well equipped but our big gripe was the sofas. They were worn out with no support and we had a job to get out of them.

Very clean.
Very clean. The layout of the cottage suited us (a couple + 1) Could not be better for location. Due to parking by an unknown not so easy to access the garage but as it wasn't necessary to use the car hardly at all it did not inconvenience us too much.

Brilliant location.
Brilliant location. Central but quiet. Very well equipped, warm and cosy cottage. Our only criticism would be that the sofas are uncomfortable and need replaced. We would still return for another visit, though.
