Christmas holiday
Lovely farm house would have made it better if it had Christmas decorations up but we all loved the room. The drive down was very muddy but I think it would be better in summer time. All in all lovely location .
Stayed 4 nights in Dec 2022

A unique house in a lovely secluded setting, incredibly spacious.
A unique house in a lovely secluded setting, incredibly spacious. Central heating keeps it very warm, surprisingly so for an old stone house with single glazing. Probably unrivaled as a red squirrel watching hide - there are two feeders outside the front of the house and as long as you keep them well stocked, the squirrels keep coming (at least in November, when we stayed) we found hazelnuts to be best as the squirrels take time to get a good grip on them and consequently stay longer. We have a few minor niggles - the mattress on the main bed is well past its best, and my wife had a quick lie down on top of the others and reports them equally uncomfortable. The lock on the bathroom door is defective. Sound quality on the TV set not very good, and no subtitles. Potential guests should be aware that there is no WIFI - not a problem for us, and mobile signal (O2 in our case) is ok. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We enjoyed our break at this secluded cottage.
We enjoyed our break at this secluded cottage. It is a large property with plenty of rooms to spread out in if you need to. The facilities were second to none and my son (chef) enjoyed cooking for us in the well-equipped kitchen. The cottage itself is set in woodland so wildlife abounds. Unfortunately we didn't get to see the famous red squirrels, although we were treated to a visit by a hunting barn owl as we arrived. As a nice touch the owners had left us some welsh strawberry jam and a bottle of wine, which we enjoyed. I would highly recommend this cottage. My only gripe would be that if you do not have a car with plenty of ground clearance, you will need to drive carefully on the final drive down to the cottage. Love this place.
Love this place. Was perfect for a complete getaway. The only sound was birds. Can’t wait to return. Only downside was the road down to the cottage, nearly didn’t get out as it was wet and muddy.

We had a fantastic stay.
We had a fantastic stay. We travelled with our 3 young children, who loved playing hide and seek in the cottage. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable, lots of room for us and the children. It is in a very tranquil location and we all enjoyed exploring. My only 2 criticisms would be, more toilet roll upon arrival, as there was only a small amount on a roll and hand soaps would have been appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Thank you
