Gayle is a small village near the Pennine Way within walking distance of the market town of Hawes, where there is a host of shops, pubs and restaurants. A pretty stream with waterfalls runs close to the cottage and a few miles away at Garsdale station you can join the famous Settle-Carlisle railway.

We had a lovely family Christmas could have done with more decoration but we brought some with us the coal fire was lovely. The cottage is homely and very well equipped. The dogs loved the walks the location is second to none.

Had a great week in a lovely cottage. Cottage fully equipped. Lovely location for access to all of the Dales plus within walking distance of the Wensleydale cheese factory.
