Ivy Cottage is situated in the centre of Giggleswick and was originally the stable block to an 18th Century Inn. Giggleswick is a picturesque Domesday village three quarters of a mile from the old market town of Settle, in the heart of Ribblesdale. Close at hand are a supermarket, two inns, a swimming pool, a golf course and regular bus and train services.

Great location

I visited the Yorkshire Dales for a walking holiday with a friend. The cottage was perfectly situated. It was very well equipped, clean and warm. The parking was tight and was made a little tricky because of roadworks and builders working next door who blocked the entrance with their van. However, they quickly moved it whenever we asked. We would certainly recommend Ivy Cottage to anyone contemplating a stay in The Dales.

This is the ideal place for a few days walking in the Dales; close to the Three Peaks, Malham etc.

This is the ideal place for a few days walking in the Dales; close to the Three Peaks, Malham etc. The cottage is comfortable and very well equipped - it really did have everything we could have needed. Lovely to relax in front of the log fire in the evening after a long day on the hills. The shops and pubs in Settle are within easy reach on foot, and the pub behind the cottage serves good beer. The cottage was very nice and enjoyed the area.

The cottage was very nice and enjoyed the area. First impression on entering was a smell of old cooking and we were unable to open any of the windows to let fresh air inside. Some of the cooking utensils needed washing prior to use.The parking was quite tight and care was needed. Plenty of storage for clothes etc. Overall we enjoyed the stay and the pluses outweighed the little niggles. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We've been staying in cottages for many years and this was the best equipped cottage of them all.

We've been staying in cottages for many years and this was the best equipped cottage of them all. It's in a great location near the hotel (the local pub was closed). It's only about 15 mins walk into Settle which has most things you need. The owner provided a very useful and detailed guide to the cottage and the local area. Very comfortable and cosy. Highly recommended.

An excellent property in a great location.

An excellent property in a great location. The cottage had everything we needed, was well maintained and lots of maps and walking guides for the local area. Parking was 'interesting' and I was pleased to not have a big car, but the very detailed instructions provided for the house included clear steps for reversing out which worked perfectly. Hope to be able to book this place again in the future.

Fab little cottage. Only grip was the bush at the side could do with trimming back to give a bit more space to get car up the drive. Parking is tight. Would stay again though as it is a well maintained property with excellent facilities 😊

Cottage was in ideal location for our party who were there for the weekend whilst we did the three peaks walk challenge. Village itself is quiet but it is only a 10/15 minute walk into Settle if you want more choice of places to go for something to eat or drink. Cottage had everything we needed and we would definitely stay again if we visit the area for more walking.
