Designed to exacting standards, these three exceptionally comfortable adjoining properties offer a peaceful courtyard setting on the owners’ non-working farm. With a games room and gymnasium just steps away (open all year), guests can unwind and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Footpaths cross local farmland and the National Forest, while a nature reserve is only 0.75 miles away. Attractions like Lichfield Cathedral, Uttoxeter’s racecourse, cinema, and Sudbury Hall’s Museum of Childhood are all within 10 miles. Alton Towers, Drayton Manor, Tamworth SnowDome, Shugborough Hall, Calke Abbey (NT), and Dovedale in the Peak District National Park are all within 20 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub serving food 0.5 miles.. All properties: Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair. Private parking. We had a fantastic stay. The location is gorgeous. Not suitable for wheelchair users due to amount of steps and the WiFi needs strengthening (as the phone signal is understandably weak in the countryside) but overall a beautiful place to relax!! we spent weekend at Peacock Barn from 10th of July until 13th of July, family of 4 with 2 young children. brilliant place to relax, lovely views, close to Alton Towers, quite location, exceptional swimming pool and hot tube, owners are very friendly. The cottage was lovely, in a very good location for walks along the canals, adventure farm park, chasewater railway which was perfect for our 2 year old. The swimming pool was lovely on your doorstep and the owners made us feel very welcome. The property had all the kitchen equipment that you could need, and the things that you often forget - oil, vinegar, salt & pepper! We will definitely be going back

Amazing place, could have been more welcoming. Also some extra towels wouldn’t go a miss. Maybe tea coffee etc would have been nice after a long drive. When I asked for more towels they said they didn’t have any?? Pool and jacuzzi was amazing!! Would definitely go back.

We had a fab week in the Peacock Barn with our two boys aged 13&11.

We had a fab week in the Peacock Barn with our two boys aged 13&11. They loved the pool and jacuzzi (it feels complete luxurious in there!) and games room. Cottage equipped with everything you need and furnished to a high standard. Loads of great pubs close by for meals out. Plenty of days out within driving distance but can feel like a trek getting there. We would go back again.
