Parking for one car. Please note: No children. There is a fenced pond in the grounds.. Greengage is a romantic hideaway enjoying a private and peaceful location within a sheep grazed orchard and sharing its surroundings with another holiday property, Russet (CC245031). The accommodation is all on one level, has an open plan layout and includes a wood burner in the lounge and picturesque views from its patio. Skipsea’s sandy beach, two pubs, a restaurant and shops are just under a mile, and the local leisure park’s gym and indoor swimming pool are two miles.



Further up the coast there are the traditional seaside resorts of Bridlington and Scarborough. Bempton Cliffs bird reserve is well worth a visit where you will see puffins, guillemots and seals in their natural habitat. It’s a perfect base to see what Yorkshire has to offer from the North York Moors to the east coast and The Wolds there’s so much to see and do. York, Scarborough and Pickering are about an hour’s drive. Sledmere House is just one of many stately homes you can visit as well as Sewerby Hall and Burton Agnes Hall, all close by. For evening entertainment there’s plenty in Bridlington with The Spa hosting International shows all year round.

A lovely one bedroom bungalow in a very rural location. ( very interesting sheep as neighbours ! ). The property is beautifully presented, very clean, modern and comfortable. The " welcome pack" was superb, a very special treat, the best ever, much appreciated. The location is very quiet but be aware that there are very few local amenities, one shop and one pub approximately a mile away, a car is essential. However, it is ideally placed for visiting many places on the East coast from Whitby to Hull. There are some great beaches and the RSPB site at Bempton cliffs is a must. We were very fortunate in having lovely weather all week and had a super holiday at Greengage. The owners, who live nearby, were very welcoming. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We had two holidays in this property last year, and were more than happy to return this year.

We had two holidays in this property last year, and were more than happy to return this year. The cottage is immaculate and a generous welcome pack is provided. There is ample hot water and the heating is excellent. The bed is extremely comfortable and the lounge/dining area is well equipped and furnished. There is now wi-fi and we found the signal excellent, although it is not essential for us. The two cottages are very private and do not overlook one another. The owners are helpful and friendly, and live near at hand should any issues arise, although we have had none. Attractions such as Beverley, RSPB Bempton Cliffs and the North Yorkshire Moors are within easy reach, but a car is essential. York is brilliant but takes longer to drive to (about an hour to an hour an a half depending on traffic). There is a Tesco supermarket 15 minutes' drive away in Hornsea. We very much hope to return in the near future.
