The beautiful Shropshire landscape promises delight for bird watchers and walkers alike – Offa’s Dyke long distance footpath is easily accessible, with many circular walks taking in hill forts and castles on the way, whilst buzzards and skylarks soar above. Caer Caradoc and the Devils Chair on the Stiperstones possess a wild beauty and the conservation area of Long Mynd offers a wonderful day out. Spanning the River Severn, Ironbridge and its fascinating museums are among a wealth of attractions discovered within a short drive, as is Ludlow, a famous paradise for ‘foodies’, with its superb annual festival, racecourse, impressive castle, fine shops and delightful old inns.
