Beautiful property in a lovely area accessible very quickly by walking or by car. House was well equipped, clean and spacious.
Hosts were on hand and very helpful.
11 mature friends rented this lovely house in a glorious setting and had a wonderful time it was spacious , clean, with ample dishes, pans etc for us to cook and prepare great meals. Would definitely recommend
12 of us stayed for my daughters hen weekend, the property is beautiful, stunning views from huge garden, Church Stretton is lovely village with plenty to do, Shrewsbury is just 13 minutes on train, the house has everything you need and more, owners very welcoming, we will definitely be back with friends, thank you 😊
We booked this property for an 80th birthday celebration for the whole family. There were 13 of us in total, including kids, and it was perfect for a long weekend. Everything was clean, the large kitchen was well equipped and the rooms were large and almost all had en suite toilets and showers.Everybody enjoyed their stay. Highly recommended!
This is an amazing property! My sister and I and our husbands and our 4 grown up children between us with their partners had the best weekend ever! Five double bedrooms with en suites, another double with a sink ( and an extra bedroom we didn’t use) and two extra bathrooms on the first and second floor. Maximum privacy for all couples. The rest of the house and the outside space did not disappoint either! We were also really impressed with how excellently it was equipped … clearly a lot of thought has gone into catering for several guests : 2 kettles; 3 toasters; enough crockery, cutlery and glasses to keep us going while filling up the two dishwashers! The host was wonderful - welcoming and informative. I can’t recommend this property enough! And we definitely want to have another family get together there.
The house was perfect for our two families (7 kids and teens among us). The area is lovely and easily walkable to everything you want to do in the area. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked almost all our meals there. We look forward to coming back in the future.
Great property with lots of spacious ensuite bedrooms. We were 12 adults. Good lounge with plenty of space for gathering. Kitchen very well equipped. Great location - was nice and central for us coming from north and south, Church Stretton is a nice small town with beautiful surroundings and great walking. Plenty of parking.Owners friendly and good communication, and we appreciated flexibility on check out time. We will be back!
We were met by Julie who was so friendly and welcoming. Good sized property with nice gardens. Beds were really comfy and most rooms ensuite. Easy walk into the town with lovely shops, cafes, pubs. Plenty to do in the area. Thanks for a great stay for our family get together.
We had 2 great nights away for a joint 50th. The accommodation was excellent in every sense and it was great that all of our family could be together due to the 7 bedrooms.Every room was spotlessly clean and all accessories were available. Also great location.A
Great place for a large family or group of friends to explore the hills around Church Stretton. Well equipped kitchen and large dining table to accommodate all 12 of us (or more) at one sitting. Bedrooms are a good size and many have ensuite showers/toilets. Ample seating in the living room for all to relax together. Nice garden and deck, but quite noisy from the adjacent A49.
We started with a friendly, helpful check-in and found a lovely selection of bedrooms to chose from. The lounge was snug and comfortable and the kitchen was well-appointed with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The house is set in a really nice area with plenty of good walks nearby, a lovely town and handy local shops. We had a great weekend and would definitely go back again. Thank you
Comfortable rooms and a welcome number of en suites and bathrooms! Well equipped kitchen and large dining room for groups. Good location - easy access to shops and lots of excellent walking and scenery to hand. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Everyone enjoyed their stay immensely and would recommend to anyone looking for a large group stay
The house was perfect for celebrating a special birthday with family and friends. The kitchen was equipped with any gadget you could possibly think of, as well as plenty of crockery and cutlery for a group of 13 people. The hosts were very welcoming and informative, and there is plenty of parking available at the property. The town of Church Stretton is a short walk away with lots of independent shops, restaurants, pubs and takeaways. We visited for a weekend and would not hesitate in returning for a longer visit in the future. Thank you!
We used this property due to its location and size. It could accomdate 10 adults (4 couples and 2 singles) quite comfortably. Great space for us all to relax during the evening but also lots of walking routes to get out into the countryside.
The house used to be a b&b, so most rooms are en suite.
Large catering kitchen with LOTS of crockery! 2 dishwashers came in very handy!!
A superb house with excellent facilities. It contained absolutely everything you could possibly need and was extremely well positioned for all local amenities. Lots to do and see in the area and the walks were stunning.
We loved this house - bright and clean with 7 bedrooms/bathrooms.
Very friendly owners who were on hand to deal with any request.
Walking distance from the station and town.
Perfect.
This was an excellent location for a family holiday for my 40th birthday. The house had plenty of room for 11 adults and two children (we loved that every bedroom had it's own ensuite/bathroom). There were elements of the house that were a bit tired, but the space and location more than made up for it.
We went on some lovely walks in the local area (Long Mynd and Carding Mill Valley, as well as Caer Caradoc and Rectory Wood), the views were amazing!
There's plenty to do in Church Stretton itself, plenty of pubs, shops and tea/coffee shops. We also had a day trip to Powys Castle (45mins drive away), would recommend!
