Beautiful location and a stunning cottage! The beds were very comfortable, and the sitting area was lovely with the log burner. The garden was a great addition, with fences all around to allow the dog off the lead. Owner contacted us a few days prior to arrival to check booking, and called us when we arrived to check that everything was okay. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice in the main but did not know about 3 stairs to bedroom wife has to use walking stick and found it difficult
We enjoyed staying at this cottage and it made a great base for exploring the southern coast of Cardigan Bay, which has some fabulous stretches of the coastal path. However, the cottage was really cold when when arrived mainly because the owner insists on turning the radiators to frost setting and then locking them. The heating instructions left in the cottage folder are really out of date and relate to a heating system that is no longer there (night storage heaters that the instructions say will come on from 12 midnight to 7 am). Each radiator has a printed exhortation next to it saying not to touch the controls because the system would then shut down. This was completely misleading. When we woke up the first morning, the bedroom temperature had dropped to 12 deg C. After speaking to the owner and finding a copy of the radiator manual online, we were then able to enjoy a warm week!
A minor detail this: the cottage has a spacious garden but you can't just let the dog out of the back door into as you have to negotiate a garden gate.

We had a lovely, relaxing time in a pretty location. The cottage is quirky and well equipped. The bed was comfy and the log burner fantastic, with loads of logs.
There was a problem with the loo which was sorted out immediately. The owner was very helpful and a neighbour left us some eggs.

Unique cottage of great charm, far bigger than we expected from the photos. We felt very comfortable, and in fact 'at home' from the beginning. Kitchen very well equipped, and the wood burning stove was a delight with lavish quantities of wood provided. Pleasant sun-trap in the garden. We enjoyed excellent weather, but would have enjoyed more time inside if the weather had been less favourable.

A quiet, quirky, old fashioned comfortable cottage with all modern facilities, including a dish washer and washing machine. Ideally suited for surrounding seaside towns like Newquay, Aberaeron, Cardigan and Aberystwith. Plenty of local beaches in secluded surroundings. A generous, safe garden ideal for children and dogs.

TY CHRISTIAN , is a quaint quirky cottage.
TY CHRISTIAN , is a quaint quirky cottage. If you like modern and clean lines, i would not recommend , however if it is quirky and a bit unusual you prefer, this one is for you.
The plus side is firstly, good communication from the owner. We were contacted by phone in the first hour and asked if we needed any more info, other than what is in the very informative handbook.
We were left a welcome gift of tea, sugar ,bread and a box of 6 eggs which were mysteriously left in the porch area.
The living area is small and could do with some more comfortable furniture and maybe a larger television. Wi Fi was a plus.
The kitchen is so well equipped and you will find all that you require there. However i wanted to do a quick wash on a pair of jogging trousers, and the machine did not work. I didn't mind because i had an alternative.
The log fire was lovely and kept us warm in the chilly evenings. Plenty of logs to use and no extra charge.
The beds were comfortable and clean and is decorated in the style of old country cottage.
I normally go for modern, but chose this for the very large area outside to accommodate our Staffie mix Patterdale. He enjoyed romping around the garden , but couldn't be left because there is small area he could eventually escape from. A less curious and more docile pet would not have a problem.
The drive up to the cottage is full of potholes , so be aware ! if you have a 4 wheel drive it wont be a problem.
I got the impression TY CHRISTIAN was on its own . It is not,
there are 3 other properties nearby.
We had a pleasant time there and i recommend Poppit sands if you want a dog friendly beach. It is very clean and the serve delicious lunches there. The staff were very friendly and professional.
Dogs are very welcome and there are water bowls everywhere. They also sell doggy biscuits and doggy ice cream !! Again be aware this is an old cottage and you will get some dust and a few cobwebs .
