Slightly further afield is the Dartmoor National Park. Beach lovers will delight in the wide sandy beaches, the nearest being the Blue Flag beach at Westward Ho! Lovely comfortable farmhouse with a beautiful garden.
Lovely comfortable farmhouse with a beautiful garden. Rural location car essential. We had a lovely week exploring Dartmoor, Bude, Westward Ho and Seaton Sands. Due to current situation some pubs were closed Monday and Tuesday but house well equipped for eating at home. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We loved staying here, there’s so much space to enjoy inside and out in the garden.
We loved staying here, there’s so much space to enjoy inside and out in the garden. The log burner is always a hit for a hilly evening and the garden was perfect for children to play in. We made good use of the bbq and the beds were extremely comfortable. Highly recommend this place! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We went in September so it was at a reduced rate.
We went in September so it was at a reduced rate. Everything was as expected apart from under-floor heating not working. The owner kindly sent a Heating Engineer in to investigate but because of poor reception on my mobile I missed his text informing me of Engineer's appointment and we were out. Engineer put boiler on manual from an outbuilding but unfortunately this didn't cure the problem luckily there were electric fires to use. English Country cottages description needs adjusting as you can no longer walk through fields to the Tarka Trail, I understand from the Cleaner that some fields have been sold off.

Had a terrific week in lovely remote farmhouse.
Had a terrific week in lovely remote farmhouse. Friendly village and quite a drive to beaches etc but that meant we had quietude and peace. Lovely garden but pond water was low. Attractive however. Perhaps a bigger fridge to store more food and drink would be helpful.
