Great little cottage, heating and cooking ok but took a bit of getting used too would benefit from an air fryer. Garden/ courtyard a bit disappointing as phoned and asked if enclosed but on arrival it wasn't. Very clean and tidy and very quiet at night, great walks and good day out at the brewery.

We had a lovely time at Squirrel Cottage.
We had a lovely time at Squirrel Cottage. The dog enjoyed curling up by the wood burner after a long walk while we enjoyed beers picked up from the local brewery.
There are loads of footpaths into the surrounding countryside on the doorstep, as well as 2 lovely pubs, a well stocked shop, butchers and the brewery. We couldn't have asked for more.

Great cosy cottage it was perfectly located for what we had planned during our stay. The cottage was clean, warm and had all the amenities that we needed. We made full use of the wood burner even though it was not that cold but it made the visit a little bit more special!

Squirrel Cottage was fantastic, beautiful location, plenty to see and do nearby, Dog Friendly and dog friendly pubs in walking distance of the cottage. We couldn't praise the area more. The cottage was comfortable, compact but plenty of room despite that, the neighbours were friendly and helpful. Just read the instructions on the Rayburn cooker, it is easy to use once mastered. Personally I would give the cottage 10 out of 10! Wonderful!

Wonderful stay in squirrel cottage.
Wonderful stay in squirrel cottage. Yes there are a few things that need a bit of a refurb over the winter (kitchen window needs a new pane of glass, bedroom window and kitchen worktops needs replaced as does shower, shower surround and sealant round the bath) but overall a lovely cottage in a lovely village with the sun inn and convenience store within a 5 minute walk!!...what more could you want....We will be back!

There was a lot of pet hair on the floors.
There was a lot of pet hair on the floors. There were bins in the court yard but they were all full and unlabeled so there seemed nowhere to put rubbish or recycling. We had to leave the plastics and glass in the house. It was very unclear which garden belonged to Squirrel cottage. It would have been nice to be able to use it in the sunshine
