"Character cottages in a countryside setting, ideal for an activity-filled family holiday.."
In glorious Cornish countryside on the edge of the pretty village of Tresmeer, just 7 miles from Launceston, the ancient capital of Cornwall, and 10 miles from the stunning North Cornish Coast, Higher Churchtown Farm offers the ideal holiday location for friends and family to escape and unwind.
Set beside the historic village church and with glorious views reaching to Dartmoor, these four delightful converted barns are very spacious and beautifully presented with oak furniture, underfloor heating on the ground floors and heated towel rails in most of the bathrooms. They retain much of their original charm with vaulted ceilings, exposed stone walls and beams. Kettle’s On is a detached single-storey barn with its own rear garden; each of the others has its own small patio and all enjoy shared use of a large garden area with 18ft circular above-ground unheated swimming pool (July and August only). For amusement indoors, a selection of reading material is also provided, together with games, puzzles and a 65" smart television. The largest of the barns also has its own games room with pool table, darts and board games. A local artist displays her work in the barns of scenes around Cornwall, which can be purchased and taken home as a memento.
Whether surfing, walking the coastal path, playing golf, fishing or simply relaxing this stunning location has something for everyone. Riding, cycling and walking trails are in abundance including a lovely walk to the river. This really is a superb holiday choice for friends, families or when booked as a whole for a celebration gathering. Launceston has a good selection of local shops, town amenities, and restaurants.
Family attractions include Trethorne Leisure Park and Golf Club, Hidden Valley Discovery Park, Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium. Ideally situated to visit the North Cornwall coastal resorts of Bude, Tintagel, Boscastle, Port Isaac and Padstow. For a great day out, enjoy the famous Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 4 miles.
The Place 2B (THQ), What a Beauty (THR), Proper Job (THS) and Kettle’s On (TKC) can be booked together to accommodate up to 32 guests.

We had a lovely family holiday during February half term.
We had a lovely family holiday during February half term. Yvonne greeted us on arrival and showed us around, there was a great welcome pack. We arrived during a cold snap, but the whole place was lovely and warm. So lovely to find a place so clean and comfortable, with everything you need. Thankyou.

We were 6 Adults 5 Children.
We were 6 Adults 5 Children. The cottage was very spacious and well fitted out for all of us. We had a welcome pack of cream teas and a huge bowl of fruit. Also the owner welcomed us on arrival and took us through the property and told us places to visit. Cottage is in an old farmyard and has two other smaller cottages attached but that didn't seem a problem. Plenty of parking. The village is several miles south of some of the best surf and body board beaches in Cornwall. Although in a farm yard there was not a lot of noise of farming going on. On departure owner was on hand to say goodbye. Would recommend this to any large party visiting Cornwall.Places to visit is Hidden Valley, Boscastle, Bude, Widemouth Bay (Bay View Inn), Also further afield we went to a water park where it had several activities going on including gokarting, coasteering etc close to Looe. A great holiday which we all enjoyed.

Stunning place to stay with plenty of room.
Stunning place to stay with plenty of room. We were a party of 6 staying in this barn that sleeps 14, so we had loads of space, but even with 14 people staying there would still be room for all. The hosts Yvonne and Graham were very friendly and welcoming, cream teas on arrival.
The location is perfect to see both the north and south Cornwall coasts.

The Place 2B is in a wonderful, quiet location where you can relax to your hearts content.
The Place 2B is in a wonderful, quiet location where you can relax to your hearts content.
From your 1st look at the place, you know that you are going to like it.
We used it as a base to explore Corwall and Devon, travelling a few miles in the process.
Yvone is a great host and nothing is too much for her.
There are not many places to eat in the immediate area and you will find yourself having to use the car a lot.
We ate in the Wilsey Down Inn a couple of times and can recommend the warm welcome and quality food. You can order takeaways from Launceston, where the Kebab/Pizza place will deliver to the Place 2B.
The accommodation is top class with plenty of sleeping space for everyone.

This cottage is lovely.
This cottage is lovely. There is ample parking for at least 5 vehicles. The owner is absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. She was always available on the phone unlike other cottage host ive had in the past. The underfloor heating throughout the house kept us very warm and was a lovely feature, that isnt mentioned in the description. A real home away from home. There is also a lovely view of the hillside which can be viewed from the balcony. Would highly recommend.
