What a fantastic place, if you like walking this is definitely the place for you, or even just a quiet weekend tucked away watching to and chilling. Lots of hills so not for the faint hearted but the views are worth the walk. The barn itself is beautiful, everything you need and a little extra, couldn’t fault the place.

Lovely little barn for two, everything you need for a great weekend, having a superking size bed was fabulous, could feel a little cold at times but you have got a wood burner which we didn’t light. It was spotlessly clean and very dog friendly. Would definitely recommend

The holiday hosts were excellent & very welcoming.
The holiday hosts were excellent & very welcoming. We appreciated the thoughtful welcome gifts. Lovely to have off road parking at the side of the cottage. The cottage also has a cute enclosed courtyard to the front & a second small enclosed lawned garden accessed from the parking space, with beautiful views across the valley, both areas having seating. Important to us is cleanliness & the cottage was spotless. The super king bed was very comfortable. As was the sofa. A pleasant 15 min walk downhill takes you into the centre of Bonsall with two pubs & a cafe. We certainly noticed the return uphill walk. We have no hesitation in recommending this bijou delightful cottage. Perfect for a stay in the beautiful Peak District with no shortage of walks & quaint towns/villages to explore.

An ideal cottage for two people and a dog .
An ideal cottage for two people and a dog . Eco and well equipped , lovely shower and bedroom. Above Matlock but ideally close to all the Peak District attractions and towns. Narrow roads up but this makes for wonderful views and a quiet village. The wood burner makes the whole cottage cosy. The local walk across the fields to the Limestone Way is great if you want a days walking without driving. Lots of dog related help provided by the owners , mats , towels , drying cupboard , treats etc. Pub within reasonable walking distance downhill ( uphill coming back ) . Narrow back road down to Sainsburys in Matlock if you choose but be prepared to give way and reverse when meeting oncoming vehicles. Parking space and lovely small garden with views ( weather permitting ). Would definitely go again. This cottage deserves its award status.
Everything was absolutely lovely. Spotless, attention to detail, cosy and thoroughly enjoyable.
100 per cent! We will be back.
