We recently stayed at Fern Cottage and have to say that the cottage is in a stunning location.
We recently stayed at Fern Cottage and have to say that the cottage is in a stunning location. It sits only a few feet from the edge of the loch and is surrounded by beautiful forests. Great for dog walking! The owner was exceptionally friendly and helpful and we had everything we needed. We treated ourselves to a meal at The Ardentinny restaurant/pub and it was excellent. The customer service was very good. If you love being surrounded by nature then this is a great cottage to visit.

An absolutely brilliant stay at Fern Cottage.
An absolutely brilliant stay at Fern Cottage. A lovely cosy cottage with everything we needed, in a spectacular location right on Loch Long. Very friendly, helpful owners. A lovely, quiet village with a great pub, and woodland and lochside walks from the door. Larger shops and supermarkets 10 miles away in Dunoon. You can access the village entirely by road via Loch Fyne (a lovely drive) but we cut an hour off our return journey by catching the ferry from Dunoon for £35.

We had an amazing week in this lovely cottage.
We had an amazing week in this lovely cottage. The accommodation was cozy, comfortable and very clean, with everything we needed for a great week. The wood burning stove was perfect for warming up after cold, wet walks! The location was stunning, with ever-changing views over the water and we loved being able to swim in the loch every day. There are beautiful walks from the cottage, and many other stunning places to walk and swim near by. We hope to be back at some point!

My daughter and I returned home yesterday after a wonderful 5 day break at Fern Cottage.
My daughter and I returned home yesterday after a wonderful 5 day break at Fern Cottage. As we are approaching Christmas, the cottage was decorated for us with a Christmas tree in the lounge and one in the dining room adding a very cosy and festive feel for us. The cottage is decorated to a very high standard with a very well equipped kitchen. Good garden front and back for my little dog. The surrounding walks are all on the doorstep and a very friendly hotel for meals just a five minute walk away. I could not fault this lovely cottage and would certainly return. It is one that I would certainly recommend.

A really beautiful cottage which is well equipped with everything you could possibly need on holiday
A really beautiful cottage which is well equipped with everything you could possibly need on holiday. Location could not be better just the width of the road to the shore with magnificent views up Loch Long and over to the sandy bay. Every day the view is different due to the light on the hills and loch together with the variety of boats travelling up and down on a regular basis.Lots of great walks along the paths on the shoreline with many more into the forestry behind the cottage. Good food available at the Ardentinny hotel about 150 yards from the Fern Cottage. We also had the privilege of seeing dolphins following the fishing boats and chasing fish not far from the shoreline. A perfect location for anyone who enjoys any form of water sports, sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding or fishing which can be undertaken anywhere from the side of the loch.I could not recommend Fern Cottage more highly and would encourage anyone to go to enjoy both the cottage and the fantastic views from this location.
