Quiet little apartment

This place was perfect for my husband and me to visit family and still have our privacy. It has everything anyone would need. Full kitchen, spacious bathroom and a king sized bed. Although the road is busy, the apartment is on a flag lot and you cannot hear any traffic. Loved it!

Junction City hide-away

The setting of the property is great with a quiet rural feel. Passing walnut and hazelnut orchards on the way from town (just a mile away) reinforces the feel of being in the country. The apartment was clean and comfortable, equipped with what we needed. It was nice to wander around outside in the sunshine. We enjoyed our stay.

Cozy country farmhouse

We had a wonderful weekend at the farm house. Tami was a great communicator and let us in a bit early as we arrived ahead of schedule. We were planning on going to an event nearby which was cancelled so we just stayed at the farm and enjoyed walking through the tree grove with Mya the sweetest dog ever! Would definitely go back.

Absolute Gem!

What an amazing find! We were looking for something outside the city, but not too rustic. Great location, beautiful setting and everything you could possibly need. We didn’t get to stick around and enjoy it as much as we would have liked, but definitely will on our next visit. As a professional chef, the kitchen is loaded. Already planning several trips for the fall. Thank you Tami and Dave for an incredible weekend.

Nice and Affordable

This apartment is separate from the main house and located in the countryside near Junction City. We loved the location and the sound of a train whistle in the distance. The dog is friendly and there are goats and chickens on the property. The owners let you have your privacy. We had everything we needed for our short stay to attend an OSU graduation. The only negative for me is the dining table is bar height and way too tall for the chairs so eating there was not comfortable. A regular dining set would be much better. But other than that, it’s a fine basic place that’s very reasonable and quiet. I would stay there again.

Home away from Home

Escape to a serene 2 1/2 acre hobby farm just outside Eugene, where a charming one-bedroom apartment awaits. Great one level, perfect for elders with no stairs to navigate. If one must work, it has great internet connection for meetings. This peaceful retreat offers quiet nights and playful encounters with friendly goats, cherry trees in lush, beautifully maintained scenery. Located near local farms offering fresh fruits, honey and vegetables. Day trips to the mountains, beaches of Oregon coast about 1 hr 20 minutes away, making every adventure possible and memorable during the tree-lined drive. Dave & Tami are truly caring, friendly owners who ensure your stay is comfortable, fulfilling any requests promptly! Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, this hidden gem provides everything you need for a delightful stay in Oregon's picturesque countryside. We had a wonderful time here, THANK YOU!

Spacious and in a pleasant, quiet location. Overall cleanliness was good. Would be nice if blinds were functional, especially in the living room. Also if the towels had been fresh on arrival.

Place was very clean. I was very disappointed that there was not any laundry services as advertised. This was the sole reason why we picked this property. In the book that welcomed us it said there was one down the road. That is not what I consider laundry services. It was the only time we were planning to do laundry while on our trip. Also, the shades in the kitchen and living room left a lot to be desired. I felt like I was in a fishbowl and people could look at any moment wish they could. There was one window air conditioner that was in the living room. There was a fan for the bedroom. The air conditioner barely made it into the bedroom. I think I would be less upset if it was explained as I saw it. On the way out we noticed that even though there was a cleaning fee, we were expected to remove the sheets from the bed.

O a reservation was canceled without notification. We arrived at 11:30 PM to discover that there was no access available. We were not given a code to enter the gate. We were not told that the room was not gonna be available to us. There was no phone number for us to contact anyone to find out where we were supposed to stay or how to get the number for the gate.We had to scramble to find an alternative place to stay.

About the host

Hosted by Tami Alleman

Host profile image
I am a local Real Estate Broker and my husband has a construction company in southern Oregon. We both work crazy hours but enjoy every minute we get with each other. With 2 1/2 acres there is always plenty to do. However we try to find some time to golf, float the river, go to the Ems baseball games, and vacation once a year to the Caribbean and once a year to Spring training in Phoenix

Why they chose this property

We purchased our home just 3 years ago as a short sale property. With both of us working full time, its tough to keep up on 2 1/2 acres, but have slowly been improving it. During the Spring and Summer it's all we can do to keep up on the grounds, but after a hard days work we love coming home to our goats and chickens, and walking through the orchard and grape arbor. It's a little piece of country right outside of the town of Junction City with just a few quiet, friendly, close nieghbors and a quick 20 minutes into Eugene. We love it here!
