An absolutely brilliant way to spend half term.

We stumbled across this property on the website and fell in love with it before we even got there. When we arrived it didn't disappoint. It is hidden away at the end of a tiny little lane on the other side of a ford. The property is set in gorgeous gardens, complete with rope swing across the stream which our kids absolutely loved. The house itself is brilliantly equipped for all self catering needs, and is beautifully decorated/furnished. 10 mins drive to Padstow and the beaches, we had a truly awesome few days, so much so my son cried when we had to leave and he is 8. haha.

Holiday

A very charming property. Everything was brilliant but it was let down by the fact that there was low water pressure making showering or taking a bath very difficult. The shower was impossible to use either very hot water or cold with low pressure. Running a bath took to much time and again difficult to get the temperature right. So getting up in the morning and everyone being able to wash was a task same when returning from the beach or going out. If someone was running the bath the outside shower did not work. Unfortunately I showered outside all holiday which was not pleasant. Sorry to complain as I do not as a rule but a working hot water system is critical to enjoying quality moments unless you are camping !!! Many thanks Martin

Thank you for your comments! There has now been a new boiler installed at Millingworth Mill and the issues with the water pressure are a thing of past. In fact the water pressure is now excellent! The shower over the bath in the main family bathroom is a bit tricky, but we think that the wonderful outside shower and the general ambience and uniqueness of this property more than make up for the slight inconvenience of this.
