2 Bedrooms – Sleeps 4. Located in a holiday village close to Clifden town, this is a well presented two-bedroom holiday home. The holiday village is set within a magnificent natural environment of mountain, meadow and river with spectacular views of the renowned Connemara landscape. This is an ideal holiday cottage for those looking for a family break, a peaceful getaway, or a base for exploring all that the Connemara region has to offer. Facilities in the holiday village include a children's play area, tennis courts, and you are just a short drive away from lovely sandy beaches. Clifden Town is just 1.5km away and is a truly welcoming town that boasts a superb selection of pubs, excellent restaurants, and a wonderful selection of shops which will provide everything you need for your Connemara holiday stay. Festivals of note are the Clifden Traditional Music Festival, Connemara Pony Festival and Clifden Arts Festival. Local activities include fishing, hill walking, pony trekking, golf, mountain bike trail, boating and much more.
Facilities:
2 Bedrooms – Sleeps 4. Bedroom 1 is a double room and is located on ground floor. Bedroom 2 which is a double ensuite with WC, sink and shower is located upstairs. There is a fold out single bed also. Ground floor there is a family bathroom with large shower, sink and WC. The open plan kitchen, dining and living areas are all on ground floor level and are equipped with all necessary furnishings ie kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge and electric cooker. There is an electric fire, flat screen tv and comfortable seating. Travel cot & high chair available. Electricity is included. Towels and linens are provided. Wifi. No Pets.

A fabulous stay in Clifden Glen

A lovely modern property at Clifden Glen Holiday village. Everything was perfect. It’s well furnished, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed for our short stay. The holiday village is well maintained and just a short distance from Clifden town. 2 minutes by car, 10 minutes walk. The Connemara greenway walks and cycle routes are very close by too. Beautifully peaceful and scenic. Everything was excellent and we can’t wait to return again!

Not what i expected

Unfortunately, several issues in the upstairs bathroom made my stay a bit difficult. I had guests who had to take cold showers and the water pressure to the same bathroom is poor.

Again, not what i expected

As in my previous review of this peroperty, several issues mainly in the bathrooms were present upon my arrival in June. After several calls to Love Connemara a plumber appeared but only fixed the minor issues. Throughout my 12 week stay the en suite shower and toilet did not work properly. The water heater is ancient and needed to be reset if there was a need for more than two showers in an hour.

Que du gris

Hébergement qui sent l’humidité, la plupart des espaces de rangements sont déjà occupés par diverses affaires de nettoyage ou autre ou carrément condamnés, et tout est gris dans ce logement, de gris clair à presque noir, les sols, les murs, les rideaux, la literie, le linge de toilette, la bouilloire, les meubles, la vaisselle…. Dans un pays où le ciel l’est souvent aussi c’est sinistre. Par ailleurs la télévision n’a jamais fonctionné, et malgré nos appels répétés rien n’a été fait ; enfin l’alarme du détecteur de fumée s’est déclenchée chaque fois que l’on a utilisé le grille pain ou ouvert la porte du four à la fin d’une cuisson.En conclusion, un séjour à oublier.

The cottage is most definetly not damp nor did you report this to your property contact , to our agency nor have previous guests reported this. To clarify the cottage decor and colour scheme is as per the images on the listing visible prior to booking. The SMART TV app channels were available for your stay unfortunately the terrestrial channel aerial was damaged during inclement weather, you alerted this to your property contact who has booked technicians to call to the house unfortunately they had no availability during your stay. We regret that you did not enjoy your stay if this had been portrayed during your visit we could have arranged alternative accomodation. Kind Regards Love Connemara Cottages.

Le Connemara entre amis

Nous avons arpenté sentiers et routes touristiques et visité monuments et lieux insolites du Connemara. Le sud du mayo nous a aussi enchanté ainsi que le Buren et les falaises de Moher tout en logeant à Clifden où les restaurants et pub sont très sympathiques.

Gutes Basislager für Connemara

Das Cottage war gemütlich, ruhig und praktisch gelegen zu allen Highlights in Connemara. Es ist ganz gut ausgestattet, bietet aber leider keine Möglichkeit, draußen zu sitzen. Wir haben leider vergeblich versucht, die Spinnweben wegzusaugen. Der Staubsauger war bis oben hin voll, und selbst nachdem wir ihn geleert haben, war der Filter so verstopft, dass er nicht gesaugt hat. Davon abgesehen haben wir uns dort ganz wohl gefühlt und würden das Cottage auch weiter empfehlen.

Nice stay but complex facilities not as described

House is a nice 2 bed house. The decor of the house is lovely and is ideal as a place to stay when exploring. A car is absolutely necessary staying here. The house is beautiful and as described. We booked it as the description said it had mini golf, a playground and washing facilities on site at a cost. The mini golf is non existent and has not been in use for a long time. The playground is ok but has not been cleaned or maintained (green algae etc on the items, could do with a wash) I looked for the laundry facilities on site and couldn’t find them. The clubhouse was closed as it’s off season however there was no info about laundry facilities available or the opening times of the clubhouse. Honestly, we stayed outside the town due to the mini golf and playground as we have small kids, if we had been aware of the above I would have booked in a central town location for convenience of restaurants etc. However this is personal preference.

Our Holiday in Clifden

Thank you for providing lovely accommodation during our visit to Clifden. We were able to cycle to the town centre and visit all the local attractions. I really liked the cottage - very homely and it’s lay out was very suitable for a family. It had all the mod cons and was very comfortable.
