About this property

Superb villa with panoramic view over Lake Maggiore

The Buddha once said, “Peace comes only from within. It is folly to seek it outside”. Clearly he never stood on our balcony.
So join us in our peaceful relax in the cosy hilly village of Pollino. Located a 15-minute drive from Intra, 60-mins from the Swiss border, Pollino is one of Verbania’s most charming villages.
the area has everything you’ll need. Skiing in winter, sunbathing in summer and hiking and cycling year-round, Pollino has it all.
The house itself is above the village proper, out of sight but only 5 minutes walk away. It’s equipped with two bedrooms (both with king-sized beds),a brand-new bathroom, kitchen and living room with fireplace.
Floor-to-ceiling glass windows bathe the living room in natural light through the year, whilst the main bedroom has blackout blinds.
There is access to private parking in front of the house entrance. The house has Wi-Fi and a satellite TV but we actually find it a great place for a digital detox.
With snow covered Swiss peaks to the North, a distant Milan in the South and the entire lake stretching before your eyes, it’s hard to overstate the vista.

Probably the best view of Lago Maggiore

Lovely little casa with an unbeatable view of Lago Maggiore. The accommodation is modern and comfortable, and is well situated for both the lake (Isola Bella is an highlight) and the mountains behind (including the must-do Lago Maggiore Zip-Line). There is also a lot of good restaurants in the area. Highly recommended!

Idyllic

We had a fantastic week in Daniela’s apartment, which was as promised, absolutely stunning. Even though we were expecting the views to be amazing, they took our breath away. Watching the weather kept us pinned most evenings, particularly with a number of spectacular storms - never seen so much lightning! We were blessed with warm sunny weather in the daytime though, and breakfast on the balcony every morning was a real treat. Daniela was quick to respond to messages and queries and very helpful. It was a great base for exploring the area, be it ferry hopping to the Borromean Islands and Stresa from Intra, or walking from the front door. There was a good 5 mile round up to Pizzo D’Omo behind the apartment on well signposted routes. A less well signed and more strenuous 7 mile round route took us down to Sacro Monte de Ghiffa. Both walks were through the beautiful cooling deciduous woodlands which cover all the mountains here. A road trip to Locarno in Switzerland was very worthwhile: a beautiful town, with narrow streets, passages, squares and courtyards in the old part of the town, and a funicular and cable car up to the most phenomenal viewpoint at Cardada over the Alps where we could see Mount Rosa and even as far as Jungfrau and Mönch, some with snow patches still. So to summarise: we’d highly recommend this apartment!

Einfach ein Traum!

Wir haben eine ganz wundervolle Zeit in dem Apartment von Daniela verbracht. Es fehlte an nichts, es war alles super sauber, sehr geschmackvoll und durchdacht, die Wohnung ist einfach klasse! Man könnte tagelang nur auf der Terrasse sitzen, auf den See schauen und den Alltag hinter sich lassen. Aber natürlich muss man das Haus auch mal verlassen :-), denn die tolle Gegend am Westufer bietet so vieles.Die Kommunikation und das Handling waren perfekt, zudem stand Daniela immer für Fragen zur Verfügung. Eine wirklich tolle Destination, rundum zu empfehlen!

Wundervolle Traumwohnung mit 240grad-Blick auf den Lago Maggiore

Wir haben eine tolle Zeit mit der Familie dort verbracht. Der Ausblick ist gigantisch, bei jeder Wetterlage! Die Ruhe hier oben ist soooo schön. Nach Verbania sind es nur 22 Minuten wenn man mehr Leben, Geschäfte und gute Restaurants zwischendurch braucht. Die Vermieterin war sehr nett u immer schnell erreichbar.

Schöne Villa mit toller Aussicht

Es ist ein sehr schönes Haus, ruhig mit sagenhaften Blick über den See. Das Haus ist sehr gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen und man kann direkt davor parken. Wir hatten eine schöne Woche, obwohl es sehr viel geregnet hat und wir uns hauptsächlich im Haus aufgehalten haben. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Wir kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder.

Sympathisches Refugium mit Traumblick

Die Aussicht ist in Wirklichkeit noch traumhafter, als es auf den Bildern scheint. Wir verbrachten zu zweit eine wunderschöne Woche dort. Daniela, die freundliche Eigentümerin, zeigte sich sehr hilfsbereit. Das Bad wurde saniert, das Bild in der Beschreibung zeigt anscheinend noch den Vorsanierungszustand. Mit dem Mietwagen (kleiner Jeep Renegade) gelangten wir problemlos auf öffentlichen Straßen zur Villa und von dort z.B. runter zum See oder hoch nach Colle. Ein Schlechtwegefahrwerk ist nicht zwingend (oben fahren auch viele normale Pandas), aber erhöht den Komfort ;) Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig, man "schwebt" über allem. Wir können dieses Feriendomizil wärmstens empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder. Ganz herzlichen Dank, liebe Daniela!

Generell optimal, aber kleine Verbesserungswünsche: Eine Sonnenliege war defekt ( Stützfuß/ Rad abgebrochen ), Badezimmer Armatur Dusche nur sehr schwer bedienbar. Müßte erneuert werden. Küche hat keinen Backofen nur Mikrowelle

Fantastisch trifft es

Die Lage des Hauses und der Blick vom Panoramabalkon sind sensationell und einzigartig, man kann kaum wegschauen. Es ist absolut ruhig gelegen und auch im Innenbereich sehr schön. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett und gut erreichbar. Wir werden sicherlich noch einmal wieder kommen!
