Villa Lemonia, secluded hillside location above Vlicho Bay
Villa Lemonia is a charming, modern, two bedroomed villa on the small private estate of Krypsones, which in Greek means ‘hiding place’.
The house nestles peacefully in olive and citrus groves overlooking the sheltered bay of Vlicho and Geni, lying 5 miles from the bustling coastal resort of Nydri. Lefkada Town is only 14.9 miles away and the nearest airport is Aktion Airport (Preveza) 26.7 miles from the house.
Accommodating up to four guests, the villa has air conditioned bedrooms, fans, door and window shutters and mosquito screens making it quite comfortable in even the warmest weather.
The double bedroom is en-suite with WC and over-bath shower. Linens and towels are hotel quality and new for this year. Tailor made drapes, crafted from designer fabrics enhance this essentially simple room and frame the double patio doors which lead to the rear of the villa.
The twin room is of a similar design with patio doors leading on to the pool terrace and pretty lower gardens.
The separate bathroom has WC and over-bath shower.
The well equipped kitchen / dining area (newly fitted for this season) adjoins the lounge which has patio doors leading to the pool terrace and gardens.
The villa offers wi-fi, new smart TV and a DVD player . There is a microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine and ironing facilities. A hairdryer, beach and and pool towels (changed weekly) are provided.
Surrounded by colourful, mature gardens the villa has off road parking and a spacious terrace with sun loungers, parasol, perfect for relaxing in privacy and enjoying the sunshine. The villa has its own infinity pool and an outdoor solar shower.
Further outdoor facilities make the most of this tranquil hillside setting and new for this season, we plan a bespoke outdoor kitchen with a wood fired pizza oven, a sink and both charcoal and gas barbecues to cater for even the most adventurous of al fresco cooks.
Car hire is recommended to explore the many sand and shingle coves along the coastal road where the sea shimmers crystal clear and tantalisingly turquoise.
Venture inland to discover magnificent mountains, pretty hillside villages and breathtaking views over the Ionian islands.
With walks and waterfalls, history and heritage and an impressive selection of tavernas, restaurants, bars, cafes and shops Lefkada has something for everyone.
The villa is unsuitable for people with mobility problems.
Children over the age of eight are very welcome. Unfortunately however, we cannot accommodate pets.
Come and share our secluded island hideaway and fall under the magical spell of Lefkada where local folklore decrees that those who visit once, will always return..........

We are Julia and Gary and our UK home is in South Wales. In the early 1980s as a child I originally discovered this beautiful island whilst flotilla sailing and was delighted to find it still so charmingly unspoilt when I introduced Gary to Lefkada in the summer of 2018. In fact, we both loved it so much we became the new owners of Villa Lemonia in August.
Why they chose this property
Villa Lemonia has been available to holidaymakers for some time and now that it’s ours we hope to make it feel more like a home.
The outdoor space is beautiful and we love to spend our time enjoying the sunshine, so in preparation for next season we have commissioned a new outdoor barbecue and pizza oven.
We chose this villa because of its peaceful location and views. We love its privacy and seclusion but also like that within only a couple of minutes you can reach the main road and get around the with ease. The Krypsones( Greek for hiding place) private estate has only a handful of houses, some of which are primarily holiday homes but others which are lived in all year round. It’ is a lovely, small, friendly community.
The nearby town of Nydri has a varied selection of shops, activities, bars, tavernas and clubs. By day, a busy coastal resort offering boat trips and boutique style shopping, Nydri takes on a different feel once the sun goes down and people stroll through the town choosing where to have a cocktail, a delicious meal and to shop for artisan crafts and souvenirs.
We hope you choose VillaLemonia for your holiday and look forward to you sharing our magical island hiding place.
