Chalet Ferme Maison Neuve is a stunning 210 year old barn, that has recently been renovated to very high standard. From the outside, the chalet may look like a simple farmhouse, but once inside you’ll be amazed by the fine combination of old and new wood, charming original touches mixed with up-to-date practicality.

Situated in the charming village of Sixt-Fer-a-Cheval, just a few minutes walk from the beginner ski slopes in Sixt and the Ski bus connecting you to Samoens and the Grand Massif ski domain, Chalet Ferme Maison Neuve is in a perfect location for families wanting both stunning nature and authentic mountain atmosphere.

This charming chalet comfortably sleeps 10 in beds. All the bedrooms are situated downstairs – there are four bedrooms including a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. A further double bedroom, a twin bed room and a bunk-bed room with 4 bunks as well as two further bathrooms. It also equipped with a small sauna.

Upstairs in the main living area, this majestic space provides plenty of original wooden beams, high ceilings and large windows offering views to the surrounding landscape. This open plan space contains a large open plan, modern kitchen with a cooking and breakfast island, a separate dining table and sitting area on either side of the glass fronted fire place. Upstairs also houses a small den, offering extra seating for anyone wanting to read quietly or play games, along with laundry room and WC.

The chalet is equipped with many board games and DVD’s.

- For summer guests, please note there is no garden, however there is a balcony / terrace which is accessible from the living area (equipped with a table and dining chairs).

Pet Policy: We are dog-friendly and can accept up to 2 small/medium, well behaved & house trained dogs at an extra charge . We ask that all furry guests are kept out of bedrooms and prevented from climbing onto furniture. All dog litter should be removed from exterior spaces (garden, porch, patio and green spaces around the property)

Children: We may provide a high chair & baby cot upon request - unfortunately a stair gate cannot be provided due to the design of the staircase. Parents will need to be fully responsible for the safety of their children .

Chalet Ferme Maison Neuve is located in Salvagny, Sixt, within walking distance of green and blue slopes (ideal for beginners), a mountain restaurant/bar, ski school, ski hire and ticket office.

For more serious skiers, the high speed ‘GME’ lift connecting you to the Grand Massif ski domain is just 5km away and accessible by car or ski bus. From Flaine, you may even get the opportunity to ski back to Sixt using the picturesque 14km ‘Cascade’ run (subject to snow conditions).

Other winter activities include snow-shoeing and cross country skiing, both possible from the village and offering many kms of route in beautiful nature.

In the summer, this house is a hub for adventure sports such as white water rafting, hiking, mountain biking, climbing and paragliding, via ferrata and much more.
