About the host
Hosted by Rob and Erika Topping
Rob and I decided to move to France to have a quieter life and also so we could spend more time with our son, who was 1 at the time. We visited the Farm on a rainy day in January and fell in love with the buildings and the countryside straight away. If it looked this good in the winter imagine during the summer! We left the next day have bought the farm and have never looked back since. We now have 3 boys, some animals (!) and have settled well in to a lovely community.
Why they chose this property
We are located in the middle of beautiful countryside yet you can cycle to the local town that has all the amenities we could ever need. It has easy access to the motorway and there are many historic places to visit within a short drive, 10 - 30 mins.
Just a 15 minute drive to many different beaches that are unspoilt and great for children, we love nothing better than picking our children up after school and heading off to the beach for a picnic.
Throughout the year you can go out walking on the many coastal paths, that are equally stunning on a stormy winters day as on a sunny summers one.
What makes this property unique
What's unique about our property, well I guess we are a little biased as we live here and love the area and the Breton people.... but we think that we have the perfect place as there is always something to do here, come rain or shine. We have lived here for over 20 years now and never have a problem of finding something to do or somewhere to visit.
There are not many places that have historic towns, amazing natural beaches, rivers, some of the best seafood in France landed locally every day, play parks and all on your doorstep. In addition our Cottages are set in the middle of our land, so you have a 100 acres of forest, meadow, river and fields to explore, while at the same time feeling secure that your children can explore as we did when we were their age.
Close by we have a cycle path on the old railway line that starts in Roscoff and goes all the way to Concarneau. You can hop on to the track in Rosporden.
But don't take our word for it read the reviews on our website.
