This charming 1 bedroom retreat features a large oceanfront deck, offering stunning views of Monterey Bay, with an easy path that leads directly to the beach and shoreline. Inside, the master bedroom includes a new King-sized bed, while the living room offers a Queen pull-out sofa sleeper, perfect for families or groups.

The home has been beautifully remodeled, with a modern kitchen and bath, and is professionally managed with on-site care and thorough sanitization for your peace of mind.

Start your mornings with breathtaking sunrises over the bay, and relax by the fireplace in the evenings. The spacious living area includes a flat-screen TV, private Wi-Fi, remote-controlled blinds, and a telescope for whale and dolphin watching. You can also spot snowy plovers and other birds in the nearby sanctuary from the comfort of your deck.

The fully equipped modern kitchen features granite countertops, upgraded appliances, and a breakfast bar for casual dining. Please note that, in accordance with HOA policy, BBQs have been removed from the Pelican condos.

For nature enthusiasts, this location is perfect for whale watching. Humpback and blue whales migrate through Monterey Bay from late April to early December, with peak sightings in July and August—all visible from your deck. We can't wait to host you!

Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Return furniture to its original position. Close all window coverings. Turn off all appliances and heaters. After loading the dishwasher, please do not leave any dishes behind in the sink.
Remove all recycling from home to outside bins.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The condo is in great shape and the views from the deck are perfect. We loved walking along the private beach every day. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Comfortable property that's been nicely remodeled! Excellent views and access to the beach!

Great location and wonderful views of the surf and wildlife on a daily basis! Apartment is small, but was perfect size for our family of 3. Only thing that would improve the stay is if beach chairs were included! Overall very happy with this rental!

Great spot!

Wonderful location! Created lots of memories! Bonfire on the beach was great and found lots of sand dollars! Kayaked and spent time at the aquarium!!!

Another great trip!

We have been staying at the resort for the past 4 years; this was the nicest place yet! There were some hiccups with keys and a leaky water heater, but the staff stepped it up to assist with all our concerns . Already ready to book our next vacation!

Great for the most part.

We loved being at the property and the location of the condo was great!!! View of the ocean was amazing and enjoyed the short walk to the beach. We had a couple of issues, one there was a load of towels that were left in the dryer. Linens are supposed to be provided and we couldn't find any pillowcases for the pillows. We also had a problem with fleas in the bedroom getting into our clothes.

Ocean paradise

We were so enchanted by this beautiful unit at the very tip of Paharo Dune's. It was extremely comfortable and cozy. The only thing that could have made this rental better, would have been some shampoo and cream rinse in the unit and maybe one Duraflame log already in the fireplace. You have to drive about 2 miles out from town to get there, so to arrive and not have those basic amenities was a little frustrating. Just be prepared, but it is a magical condo!!

Great View, but not for kids

This unit was very updated and had a great view, but it was not great for kids. Most places we’ve stayed had games, toys, beach towels, etc to use. We didn’t bring our own this time and suffered. The gift shop didn’t sell sand toys either. We still had a great time collecting sea shells. I hope the owners invest in some beach toys and towels.

We have mostly boogie boards, playing cards, kites and sports equipment at the store. We'll definitely be getting some sand toys & beach towels for future guests!

Its was awesome. My only 2 cents are 1. Ground coffee pouch would have been awesome. It only costs less than 5 bucks. We had to travel 5 miles for that in the morning. 2. A small stool for kids in the bathroom so that they can access basin by themselves.

Right on the beach

Right on the beach... we lucked out with the weather at 70! And even though the mornings were cold,l to wake up to that beautiful view and to go to sleep with the sound of the waves crashing was all I needed. We spent five days here because it was our first time and I wasn’t ready to leave. I could’ve easily done three more days. This place is perfect for the three of us and it had the best vibe. It was well stocked, but I would bring extra beach towels and blankets, beach chairs if you need them, and your toiletries. Bring all your food so that you don’t have to leave once you get there. We brought our bikes and rode around which was so much fun and our sons drone which we were able to fly in the large field area.

What a beautiful place, a treasure in the strawberry fields then beautiful coastline The weather was cold and foggy, which was absolutely perfect in July. The fireplace was perfect. It was just what I was looking for. You must stop at the fresh fruit stands. Best of the best fresh fruits and veggies. Yessenia (sorry if incorrect she just started and was amazing) was so great at communication, even a pre welcome call. The front desk was very proactive on communication. Unit was well stocked but as stated in the reviews…. Bring coffee cause that first morning when you wake and realize that’s not provided… best you stopped before but there is a Starbucks close. One note to be aware of… the guard gate opens all your Amazon/personal packages. Had 5 delivered, 2 were waiting at checkin, the 3 others available on the last day despite delivery day before checkin. Everything was fully inspected and didn’t get 3 of the packages till the last day. Yes, there were items missing (Fiji water, premium snacks, etc). Enough to spoil a 5 star experience, nope! Odd for a US based stay for sure… just gives me pause next time to ship the basics and now that know, never anything valuable. The front desk did their best to look during the stay. Just be aware. This is a dream place. Book it!

This is our third time renting at Pajaro Dunes & we were not disappointed. We rented Pelican 38 and we fell in love with this unit. My husband & I are portuguese and the decor in the condo really spoke to us since it had many items that were made in Portugal. The unit was super clean & very roomy. i would definetly stay there again.
