Villa Caretta is perfectly situated in the quiet and peaceful area of Ortalaan in idyllic Kalkan, only a 10-15 mins walk to old town and harbour, and just a 5-10 mins walk to shops, bars, restaurants and a market.

The nicely finished villa with private swimming pool (6m x 4m, 1.8m deep) sleeps 6 adults comfortably in its 3 air conditioned bedrooms (2 double, 1 twin) with a large sea view balcony. The pool is maintained daily so retains its crystal clear water. The view over Kalkan bay with its turquoise coast is gorgeous. The open plan kitchen adjoins the spacious sitting room with sliding doors to the terrace with a private swimming pool. The villa is surrounded by a beautiful mature garden with many exotic flowers and trees, which offer shade and privacy. The expansive roof terrace is very relaxing due to its stunning views of the surrounding mountains and Kalkan bay.

We have property managers who will greet you at the start of you stay and will be just a phone call away to assist you with absolutely any enquiries or problems you may have. They are extremely helpful and I'm sure you will be delighted by the service they provide.

We would love to welcome you to our home from home and for you to enjoy all that magical Kalkan has to offer. We will be more than happy to provide any additional information if needed.

The closest airport is Dalaman Airport which has scheduled flights from most UK airports. The scenic route to Kalkan takes about 1 hr 30 min s. You can also fly into Antalya Airport, the journey to Kalkan is around 3 hours by car/taxi. If required, we can assist organising transfers at a competitive rate.

Great Villa, clean and well maintained. Lovely grounds and pool. Villa close to all amenities. 10 minute walk to town and restaurants. 5 minute walk to nearest supermarket. Beautiful views from the terrace overlooking Kalkan Bay

Booked this property 3 years ago (before Covid) and the communication from Esther was fantastic all the way through, and was really helpful booking transfers - once there Sharon was equally helpful and friendly. The villa is in the perfect location with stunning views!

Dream week in Kalkan

We loved the Villa. The pool and outside space were perfect and the view from the roof top over Kalkan at night was simply stunning. Inside space had everything we needed too. It’s perfectly located to walk to the Old Town and Harbour area within 10/15 mins and plenty of taxis to take you back up the hill. Micros supermarket also very close by. Communication with Esther and the rep who arranged transfers and trips was also excellent. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful Kalkan

An amazing two weeks in beautiful Kalkan at this lovely villa. Great location (let’s face it, you are never going to get away from the hills in Kalkan) peaceful and although surrounded by other villas, not overlooked. Yes, it is a little dated in places but this didn’t bother us due to the space and pool area that it provided. Throw in a Villa manager who quickly answered all of our questions and it was just perfect! Our second visit to this lovely region. Once again it stole our hearts xx

Comfortable villa and convenient for restaurants

The location of Villa Caretta is excellent, with restaurants just a 10 minute walk away. The villa is a little dated inside, but for a three-bed villa, we thought Villa Caretta was good value. The bedrooms are comfortable, with adequate space for clothes, and the open-plan living area has a well-equipped kitchen. The roof terrace is an excellent spot for a sundowner. One thing that’s essential during the Türkiye summer is air-con, and the villa is well-equipped in that respect. A pool is another must, and that at Villa Caretta is a decent size and maintained daily. Privacy is dependent on whether neighbouring villas are occupied; we probably wouldn’t have felt so unobserved in high season. From an entertainment point of view, there’s a small flatscreen TV that receives satellite channels, but there’s no streaming. We used a Roku dongle to watch Netflix. Wi-Fi is fast and reliable. One issue we encountered during our stay were the ongoing improvements to Kalkan’s infrastructure, meaning that roads are being dug up to put down pipes. This has caused dust and mess, and Villa Caretta's front gate was demolished by a digger. The owner was very apologetic about this, but most of the repair work had been completed by the time we arrived. The runaway inflation in Türkiye means that eating out can be expensive. We particularly liked the nearby Doner & More, as it’s authentic and good value. Sharon and Rambo, the villa managers, were terrific throughout, and a big thank you to them.

A great time at Villa Caretta

We just spent a great 8 nights at this lovely villa. The owner Esther has been very responsive and answered any questions we had leading up to our stay. Sharon and her husband Rami looked after us whilst we were there. They were really helpful, especially when I became poorly, giving some advice on who/where could help and when we managed to lock ourselves out! The property itself was just as advertised. Clean, spacious, bright and airy. The views didn’t disappoint! We never tired of looking at the view from every level. The villa had everything we needed as a family of 3 even supplying a multitude of towels including beach ones. The pool was fabulous and one of the best we’ve ever had. It was a perfect size to play in or swim in and sooo clean! Beware it is deep and all at one level. The walking areas around it were safe and well maintained. Possibly a small gripe would be that the outdoor furniture could do with updating. We were supplied with a complimentary welcome pack which was so welcome after arriving at 2.30am! It held everything needed to start our first day off before walking to Migros (local shop) an 8-10 minute walk to do a full shop. Villa Location is away from town but absolutely walkable. It took us about 10-15 mins. We would just taxi back for 15tl to avoid hill walking. The local market is very near so an added bonus on Thursdays. Kalkan is as lovely as everyone says. The food is out of this world and people are some of the most helpful and friendly we have ever had the pleasure to meet. We would like to return to Kalkan and would have no hesitation in booking this fantastic villa again. We would like to return to Kalkan one day and would not hesitate in booking this villa again.

Our stay at Villa Caretta

We’ve just returned from a 2week stay at lovely Villa Caretta. The Villa has undergone lots of improvements since we made our booking and is very comfortable, extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. The photos are true and not photoshopped at all. The owner was quick to respond to our enquiries and organised our private airport transfer through her property managers (£55-one & half hour journey from Dalaman). The welcome pack was gratefully received (bread butter eggs jam milk orange juice tea coffee sugar and 19L of water in the cooler!) plus a daily delivery of bread - so generous! Property managers Sharon & Rami were on hand to give us local information and resolve the couple of issues we had with the tv and an aircon unit, problems which were dealt with promptly and efficiently and it was a comfort to know they were on hand. We found Kalkan a bit of an issue because it is so steep but once you discover the local taxis only charge a fixed fee around town of 15TL (approx £2) problem solved! New cars and friendly drivers who don’t roll their eyes if it’s a short journey!! Hundreds of restaurants and bars of all ranges nearby but the resort still retains its charm and character and it is our intention to return in the future.

We live in a commuter town outside London in the UK. When we visited Kalkan, we fell in love with Kalkan and so decided to buy Villa Caretta. In the future we hope to spend our retirement here.

Why they chose this property

We love Kalkan for its beaches and amazing sea-view, its plethora of restaurants, spectacular mountain ranges, and the warm, genuine hospitality of the people. Kalkan is in close vicinity to Turkey’s longest sandy beach - Patara Beach, which is also within easy distance to stunning ruins. Kalkan is a magical place to which people return year after year.

What makes this property unique

We picked Villa Caretta for its peaceful setting, beautiful gardens and amazing views from the roof terrace. It is in a quiet area of the Ortalaan district of Kalkan. The villa is set in a well-established garden, with lush shrubbery, trees and flowers which gently waft in the breeze to one side of the pool. The views from the roof terrace are fabulous, which allows it to be the perfect spot for a morning coffee or a relaxing glass of wine in the evening.
