Experience Collection by ROMAC Margana Palace w/ terrace & wellness

The holiday home Margana Palace is a unique solution for vacation homes in Rome: there are 8 separate bedrooms for up to 18 persons. It is an independent palazzo with an independent entrance from the street level, spread out over three levels and with two entrances to the two apartments, all exclusively for you.

The first apartment is the one on the first floor above ground level and composed of 2 double bedrooms, a single bedroom, a mezzanine with a double bed.

The space is completed by 3 bathrooms with showers, a welcoming dining room with a large table, and a kitchen.

A beautiful and ample terrace can be accessed from the kitchen. An outdoor lounge, chairs and dining table are an ideal ambiance to relax all together after a long day of sightseeing in the city.

This level is equipped with air conditioning and floor heating.

The second apartment is located on the second floor above ground and is in itself divided on two floors. On the lower level the master bedroom with a double bed and sofa bed, and it is also equipped with sauna and jacuzzi. There are two other bedrooms, one for 2 and one for 1 person, and one double sofa bed in the living room. Five bathrooms with showers in total are available for our guests.

On the upper floor, our guests can find a double bedroom and a bedroom with two single beds, each with en-suite bathrooms.

The second floor apartment can accommodate 9 people in total.

The living room with a kitchenette is situated on the main floor, so the entire group can gather around the large dining table for a savory dinner!

This is a wonderful property in a very good location. The staff is excellent and the rooms were clean. Our area had a spacious kitchen with all the needed cooking utensil's. There were plenty of bathrooms and beds for our group of thirteen and a nice enclosed patio. Everyone enjoyed this comfortable property. We would gladly stay again.

Excellent location and wonderful stay for group of 12!

We brought 12 adult family members and friends to Rome, renting both Margana I & II. Romac host Nathalie was wonderful to work with, and the accommodations fit us like a glove with 5 queen-size beds and one bedroom with 2 singles. You can not get a better location to walk to sites and food with two very good restaurants in the courtyard!

Margana Palace is the best place I've ever stayed in Rome. The location is amazing--a safe, cozy piazza that's only a few minutes walk from everything we wanted to do. The apartments themselves are phenomenal. We were a group of 9 and there was plenty of space for us all. We loved using the big table on the patio for breakfast and group meetings. Communicating with Ewa was super easy. She always answered promptly and effectively helped us with any little issues that came up. We would definitely love to stay here again for our next group trip!

Perfect for our large group!

This apartment was perfect for our group of 8 women wanting both privacy and also a common place to gather. It is spacious, comfortable and a great location. Anything we needed was quickly attended to by the manager, and it was a special retreat, especially the patio, after busy days in Rome. Highly recommend this place!

The house is amazing. The host is welcoming and available throughout the stay. Wonderful location. Walkable to all the historic sites and just across the river from Trastevere. House is on a quiet square just off the main road. We could not have been more pleased with all aspects of the house: location, accommodations, cleanliness, etc. wonderful restaurant on the ground floor and many others only steps away.

Perfect location. Restaurants literally right outside your door. So easy to get to. Famous Piazza in the city. We could get in any cab and say Andiamo a Piazza Margana

Fantastic Property

This is a great property to stay. We stayed with a group of 13. It is in a very nice local neighborhood where you feel like you actually live in Rome but everything you will want to see if within 15-20 min of walking. The customer service by the support staff was great. Highly recommend.

Great location, great communication leading up to check in and check out. Spacious apt with a great dining room on one floor and cozy living room on another floor. There were 7 of us traveling and we each had our own bedroom. Most of the bedrooms can accommodate 2 people.

We loved the apartment in Rome! Our family is 2 50s parents and 4 20s children. The apartment was roomy and had plenty of bathrooms. (we rented the entire space so we had more than enough rooms) Communication was easy and helpful with any questions.

Fantastic Location. Brian communicates well, provides excellent service, amenities, welcome gifts, local information and suggestions. Even provided Christmas tree. The 4 floor walk up provided interesting spaces, with different meeting areas and allowing en suite and guest bathrooms.

Local feel in the heart of the city

Our family of 9 adults had a wonderful stay at the margana apartments. Plenty of space for each person to have their own rooms plus more! The piazza area is very close to some of Rome’s most famous sites within a short walking distance and in a quiet area. The local restaurant downstairs served amazing Italian food as well. The property management company was very professional and responsive to any needs and accommodating. We would be more than happy to return! Great location, spacious apartments, and wonderful spaces for larger groups to enjoy.

Our party of ten had a great time here. The place is centrally located and is spacious. All of us felt like we had plenty of room without being crowded. Although there is a nice patio in the back we did not use it because it was very hot during our stay. The air conditioning was perfect and we enjoyed coming back to the apartment to cool off between excursions and shopping. The kitchen was well stocked and they even left us bottles of water and champagne. There is a grocery store within a couple blocks and a very good restaurant downstairs. The restaurant is quiet and we could not hear any noise from inside the apartment. If we had anything negative to say it would be that the cleaning crew does not fill the soap dispensers as four bathroom ran out of soap and the floors were not as clean as we would prefer. This location might not be for everyone as there are multiple floor with no elevator. That being said we would definitely recommend this place and would rent it again.

Well internet was slow and kicking us off vrbo says cable tv there wasent it was broken didnt try to fix till the last day wifi we couldnt even use with netflix lagging so bad told the propery manager she took several times a day to respond 1 toilet baday didnt work was suppose to have some one come monday to fix no one showed up 2 remotes. Didnt work and 1 ac controler she said she would replace the batterieris and she didnt didnt have hot water texted her the same night we arrived she didnt answer until later the next day so we had cold showers and the add says a gym we seen no gym nor did she show us one add says hot tub there isnt one

The internet connection was working; the TV simply needed to be reconnected to the Wi-Fi network, which is why streaming wasn’t functioning properly at first. Our team always replies as soon as we receive messages from our guests, and we did pass by to address the issues you mentioned. Regarding the hot water, it turned out the boiler had been switched off and only needed to be turned back on. As for the gym, it was indicated as a nearby facility, not inside the apartment itself; in fact, it isn’t shown in the apartment’s pictures. We truly appreciate your comments and will take them into account to further improve our service. We hope you still enjoyed your time in Rome and the comfort of this beautiful accommodation.

Amazing experience!

This property is incredible and so was our host! The location is excellent (not more than a 15 min walk to just about everything). The property is in great condition, and it has a ton of different spaces for large groups to enjoy. The outdoor space is great, but the weather was too hot for us to enjoy it. Speaking of hot, there is AC in every room, which was perfect. There’s a grocery store about 1 min away and the house is stocked with fine wine and alcohol for purchase. We had 3 families (6 adults and 5 kids aged 11-18), and there was plenty of space for people to have privacy and for us to hang out as a group. Brian (our host) was very responsive and helpful leading up to and during our stay. He helped arrange a chef's dinner at the house that was outstanding. I can't say enough about how much we loved this place. The only thing that is a bit odd is you have to enter the unit through the middle of a restaurant patio but it's not a big deal. Stay here, you will love it!

Perfect location and amenities

We were a group of 6 colleagues in Rome for meetings and training. This was a perfect property for us (even if we did have more than one empty room!), as we each had our own spaces (including individual bathrooms) but several common areas. The dining area on the first floor was perfect for our needs as it converted quite readily into a meeting room so we did not have to book additional office space for two days of training. The outdoor patio was lovely for having a coffee during breaks. We had a very packed schedule, so it was super convenient to have a great restaurant on the ground floor (where we had FIVE meals), and to be within walking distance to all but one of our evening activities. Even though it is in the heart of the old city, the piazza was directly accessible by taxi. We had several bars open in the morning for our cappuccinos and a park nearby for those who wanted to exercise, and of course the beauty of Rome for those who simply wanted to experience it early in the morning before we got started for the day's work. The property was spotless, and the check-in and check-out process was super flexible with friendly staff. The weather was perfect, so I can't comment on the strength of the air conditioning :)

Fantastic place in the heart of Rome!

I can't say enough good things about this place! We had 13 people (6 adults, 6 kids and 1 infant) and there was plenty of space. The bedroom layout was perfect and we even had a few spare bedrooms that got used for naps ;) There is AC in every room and it keeps the house very cool, even in the summer heat in Rome. The whole place is immaculate and very well appointed. There are multiple laundry machines. The beds are comfortable. There are multiple en-suites (I think 5 or 6). The common spaces were great. The terrace is beautiful and huge. Wifi is great and there were many spots for kids to watch TV. It has pretty much everything you need. The location is amazing! It is right in the heart of Rome and we walked to so many things, including the Coliseum, Trevi fountain, the Pantheon, etc. It is located in a small Piazza with two restaurants (one right beneath the apartment) and that was a great setup. Kids can play in the piazza while adults relax in the restaurants. You can also walk to a ton of other great restaurants, cafes and shops. The management company was a breeze to work with and they helped with activities, airport transportation, and more. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you have a large crew with multiple kids (the older ones will love the loft area for a bedroom)

We LOVED this place

We had 11 adults and 2 young children in our two apartments, and everyone enjoyed the stay. The location was convenient, but not noisy. We had plenty of space, and the mini-splits in every room meant everyone had control over their own bedroom temperatures. The mattresses and linens were high-end hotel quality. The spa tub, sauna, huge dining table, and large patio were wonderful features of the space. The kitchen was well stocked, and the cleaners came in the middle of our visit as well as at the end. Plenty of TVs and Netflix, but only the kids watched them. Some of us had work to do, and the Internet access was fine. It's not very often I would choose to repeat a visit, but I would stay here again. Note there is no lift, and there are steps even within each apartment. Anyone with mobility issues should consider whether this rental is appropriate. The only thing I would note for prospective renters is that the payment schedule was different than what VRBO laid out at the time of my booking. Fortunately, two things: 1) the total was the same; and 2) communication with the property management company was excellent, and they explained their payment schedule. I mention it here only because anyone who is concerned about the *timing* of amounts should send a message early on to ask for the correct payment schedule.

Perfect location - great for larger family/group

The property was ideally located for our family group of 13. Easy walking to most major sites plus in a small, relatively quiet piazza (with the exception of the front bedroom above the restaurant). The restaurant which was very good and a nice choice for an early supper on our arrival day. My only issue was with the awkward layout and the key situation since we had both apartments. We had three sets of keys for each apartment but with people going in and out of both and more than three people it always seem that someone didn’t have a set of keys that needed one. Hopefully they can get a keypad set up that would make things seamless. The check in was easy and communication with the host was fast and friendly. Would definitely recommend a stay here for a group of family traveling together. Privacy but also common spaces to share made the travel very nice for all.
