CASA SOTTORIPA - cozy location located in front of Acquarium

The 120 m2 apartment is completely renovated and consists of 2 bright bedrooms with Kig and Queen size beds, a spacious kitchen complete with everything you might need and a lounge with TV and board games. In the living room there is a sofa bed, so that it can accommodate up to a maximum of 6 people. No architectural barrier precludes wheelchair access and everything is facilitated by two large elevators. The wi-fi is free.
The apartment is located between the historic center of Genoa and the Porto Vecchio / Expo. The area is full of cultural and entertainment attractions and is surrounded by supermarkets, typical restaurants and bars. After a few steps you can visit the largest aquarium in Europe, the Galata Museum (Museum of the Sea) and the galleon used in the film "Pirates", directed by Roman Polańskin in 1986. You can taste the products of the nearby "Eataly" or immerse yourself in medieval Genoa and its "caruggi". In 5 minutes on foot you can reach the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, Palazzo Ducale and Piazza De Ferrari, while Palazzo San Giorgio is located 100 meters from the accommodation and from here you can use the metro to easily reach the Principe and Brignole railway stations. .
The Maritime Station for MSC cruise ships is less than 900 meters as the crow flies (15 minute walk).
Genoa Airport, Cristoforo Colombo, is 20 minutes by car or 40 minutes by Volabus.

Two Weeks in Genoa

This was a great apartment right in the historic section of Genoa, we stayed 2 weeks as my wife was getting medical treatments in Italy. The apartment is right on the town square across from the aquarium. At least 20 restaurants in walking distance. The apartment was clean and well kept, had security on site. Loved the window seats where we could watch the square in comfort.Highly recommended. I think you would be challenged to find a better place in Genoa.

Tolle Lage, netter Gastgeber

Wir hatten uns völlig verfahren und waren dadurch viel zu spät. Trotzdem hat uns Guiseppe noch mitten in Genua abgeholt und in die Ferienwohnung gebracht. Danke vielmals! Die Wohnung ist sauber und sehr geräumig. Bettwäsche und Tücher sind vorhanden. Parkhaus ist um die Ecke und günstig. Die Lage ist super! Vor der Haustür hat es viele kleine Shops, Essstände und viele Restaurants. Praktisch über den Platz ist das Aquarium und alle Piers mit den Flaniermeilen. Rundherum tolle Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wir empfehlen den Gastgeber und die Ferienwohnung von Herzen.

Wonderful location!

We loved how close it was to the aquarium! We could get there as soon as it opened and not have too many people around while looking at all the creation. A line was formed way out the door when we finished. The place has two large bedrooms. 3 of our boys slept in one room and we had a baby with us in our room and there was plenty of space. The bathroom/shower is nice. The kitchen is fine if you are not needing an oven or freezer. It has anything else you would need, and owner is quick in responding if you have a need. We loved the international food options within walking distance of the place. You probably don't want a car, most places you can get to by foot, metro or train.

Great property in Genoa

The property is located right in front of the acquarium and old port and it backs to the old historic center of Genova. The metro is steps away and the train station is a short walk or metro ride. It’s also right in front of a taxi station so taxis are always at the ready. Our hosts were gracious and the apartment was spacious, clean and large. Perfect for our needs.
