About this property

Jurinea House Lift with private pool

It is a spacious house with beautiful views. It is accessed by the porch and on the first floor has the living room, the kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom. On the ground floor you have three bedrooms and a bathroom. The pool and the plot is totally independent. It has central heating, fireplace and barbecue. The kitchen is completely equipped. We put sheets, towels and firewood.
From the Casa Jurinea Alzar you can visit the World Heritage Cities of Úbeda and Baeza, the cathedral of Jaén or, because of its proximity, Granada or Córdoba.

Great house, great place, great owner.

We had a wonderful stay in the Jurinea House. The owner was really very helpful and informed us about the neighborhood and the nice places to see. We were there in spring and the heating system was more than good for that time of the year (high altitude with cold nights). We loved the beautiful blossom. Heerlijke woning om in te verblijven. Midden in de natuur. Het ontbreekt je aan niets. Ook in de zomer maanden is de woning erg koel, zeker beneden! Mooi zwembad en geweldige uitzichten vanaf het terras. De gastheer is erg vriendelijk. Absoluut aan te bevelen.

Séjour très agréable, parfait pour se reposer.

Maison très spatieuse et bien équipée. La literie est de qualité. La piscine est très agréable et bien entretenue. Nous avons été accueillis avec soin par le propriétaire qui est d'une gentillesse exemplaire et qui est vraiment de bon conseil. La maison est située en hauteur et la vue est magnifique. Parfait pour se reposer.

Chalet in mountains

Juan met us in Torres to check us in and the house is about 3km out of town in the middle of olive groves down a bit of an paved road. It has a lovely balcony for eating out with great views of the surrounding mountains and olive groves. Four good modern bedrooms with two good bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen though there is no oven. A big lounge and dining room with an amazing fire in the dining room which heats the whole house when it is on automatically. The pool is of a decent size and of one depth probably about five foot eight inches deep and good for a dip though a bit cold to hang around in in October. Best to research walking routes before you go as we had not and it wasn't very clear where you could go. Juan was very helpful though over WhatsApp offering advice for visits and replacing a toaster that did not work. Good to visit Baeza and Ubeda across the valley and the castle at Albanchez de Magina over the mountain. We did not do it but would like to have visited an olive oil farm so again good to book ahead and there are olive oil museums in Ubeda and near Baeza but not the same as going out to the olive groves I imagine. Torres has a couple of bars and a good housed market in the main square. There is also a country restaurant just up the path from the house which was open at the weekend and serving big portions of food for a good price. So interesting place to visit and we had a good time. Thanks to Juan for his friendly greetings and helpful advice.
