About the host
Hosted by Mark Nelson and Sharon Gill
Sharon and I worked professionally in New York and Washington before building this home in Hawaii, and spend most of our time here since retiring.
Why they chose this property
Sharon and I built this beautiful, spacious home on 7 acres in 2003 to fulfill a dream of living in Hawaii. Our home takes advantage of an incredible view 5 miles north of Hilo on the Hamakua coast, up slope from the scenic drive and Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden. .
Come share our neighborhood with the farms, local horses, space and quiet while you appreciate what we feel is the best of Hawaii. You are close to many of Hilo’s local activities, and within easy traveling distance to the Volcano sights, waterfalls and lush vegetation and attractions of our coast.
We offer an extremely spacious main living house area that mirrors the space of our outside view, and an ohana next door for a smaller living option. We love the sunrises over the water, the constantly changing weather, and the sunsets over the mountain. We hope you enjoy this place as much as we do.
