Ty Rhiannon (pronounced 'Tee Ree-ann-on') is a charming first-floor apartment set within a complex of traditional stone cottages, built on the historic grounds of Prince Llywelyn’s court.

The pet-friendly accommodation is accessed up a flight of exterior stairs. The open plan living, and kitchen space is compact, but has a lovely bright, fresh and airy feel, featuring skylights that light up the space and make a stunning observatory to gaze at the renowned Dark Skies of Anglesey. There's a comfy sofa, flat-screen TV and stack tables in the living room and the kitchen is fully equipped and with a breakfast bar made for two. The spacious and bright bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and enjoys views of the surrounding countryside. There is a shower room with a sink and toilet.

Guests can enjoy the on-site amenities at the Llys Llewelyn complex, which include ample parking and a popular bar and kitchen serving afternoon tea, traditional home-cooked dishes, and delicious cakes and scones (closed in off-peak season and open Wednesday to Sunday in peak season). The communal dual charge pod point EV charger is a convenient feature, allowing guests to charge their electric vehicles on-site (app download required for use).

The Neighborhood:

Aberffraw (said: Ab-ER-frow) is a slice of paradise on Anglesey's west coast — dunes, a Snowdonia backdrop in the distance, and a coastal walk that starts right from your doorstep.

It's a proper hit with dogs, horse riders and families. The beach, Traeth Mawr, is a huge sandy bay backed by dunes, easy on the legs for a beach ride or a long dog walk. A small shop and Llys Llewelyn tea rooms, known for homemade cakes, cover the essentials. A short walk along the coast brings you to the Church in the Sea, St Cwyfan's, perched on its own tidal islet — genuinely magical at low tide, with views out to Bardsey on a clear day.

Getting Around:

On-site parking included. It’s a quiet, coastal village with no nearby train station, so we recommend having a car to explore the rest of Anglesey.

Other Things to Note:

An AHL Damage Waiver is included as standard with every booking. It’s there to protect the property and give you complete peace of mind, covering accidental damage up to £250, so that if something happens, it doesn’t cast a shadow over your stay.

Towels & Bedding: Linens and bath towels provided (please bring your own beach towels)

Did you know:

We offer booking extras to make your stay even better. Our Extended Stay Refresh* brings fresh linens, new towels, made beds and a quick bathroom reset. *Available on selected properties within our portfolio.

Don’t forget:

Booking with AHL gets you fabulous, unique discounts at eateries, attractions, and shops such as Rib Ride, Zip World, and Sandy Mount House to name a few.

Perfect

Another perfect week in one of our favourite places on Anglesey. Great accommodation, warm & comfy, well equipped, fabulous beach walks on your doorstep. The hound absolutely loved every minute of his hols. Always plenty to see a do on the island with friendly people and some lovely places for some good food & drink too.

Lovely holiday home

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect near to beautiful beaches and coastal walks. The village pub is a great asset plus the lovely tea room on site. The living area is compact but very comfortable and perfectly adequate space for 2 people, with a comfy, roomy sofa. The kitchen is well equipped. The multiple skylights give a very light, airy feel to the accommodation. The bedroom is well equipped with hanging space and drawers. The bed was a little firm for us but appreciate some people like a firm bed. The staff are super helpful and friendly and really make the whole booking experience a pleasure. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

Everything you want for a great Anglesey holiday

We have stayed in Ty Rhiannon several times. Always super clean, warm, comfy & well equipped for all your needs. Lovely welcome pack, friendly helpful staff, and epic location. Friendly locals, amazing beach & dunes, views of the mountains, brilliant cafe within the courtyard, & also a great local pub in the village.

A lovely short break

A lovely comfortable and compact space. The welcome pack was especially appreciated along with the dog towel. We love the area and enjoyed some lovely walks from the property and had the usual walk up South Stack having driven to the RSPB centre.

Perfect break

We arrived on a cold wet Monday and walked in to the cosiest little welcoming apartment. Bright and airy perfectly equipped with everything you needed and the welcome pack and bag was very thoughtful! The weather wasn’t the best but we still explored Anglesey and came home each afternoon to a warm cosy base. Thank you it was just what we needed and we will be back later in the year.

Great

Perfect place for a couple and pet. Well laid out with optimal use of space. Just right for a short stay. Very clean and well maintained. Would benefit from a thicker quilt (we stayed in winter) and new bathroom floor. Aside from that, a great little snug with amazing walks.

What a great base this is. Perfect for one or two people and minutes from Aberffraw beach. Comfortable and clean, just add lovely weather, which I was lucky enough to get. Will hopefully visit again.

Storm Amy came to stay too !

A very relaxing break away . Everything was provided with comfort in mind . The only tiny problem was trying to retrieve the key from the safe lock , the mechanism was stiff . Great location and a tea shop next door with delicious bacon baps!

Excellent holiday accommodation

I am a widower of a certain age and I found Ty Rhiannon an ideal place to stay but it would also be ideal for a couple without mobility issues given the stairs . For me personally I could not fault the accommodation in any shape or form which is homely , tastefully decorated , fully equipped with a spacious and comfortable bedroom I would certainly recommend it and would hope to return next year .

Great location

Great stay again . We like the location as it’s so close to a fantastic beach , the dog loves it . This was the 4th stay . Shame the pub has never reopened and the cafe is only open limited days . But as long as you are aware it’s a great place for a holiday .

Relaxing and peaceful

The parking was perfect. No worries about where we could park. The flat was very comfortable and just right for 2 people. The kitchen was well equipped and the appliances easy to use. The bed was very comfortable, I slept so well. The bathroom was also great. The property is well placed for touring Anglesey. As birdwatchers, we visited many local reserves and enjoyed watching the red squirrels only 5 minutes away.

Location location location

Ty Rhiannon is a perfect little cottage for one or two, to explore Anglesey ideally located close to the coast path and the glorious beaches of the west coast. The cottage was warm cosy, light, airy, clean and well equipped. There is a little seating area at the top of the steps great for breakfast in the sun. Booking the cottage was simple and the communication / information provided by Anglesey Holiday Lettings was amazing making for a stress free holiday. I hope to stay here again and would highly recommend Anglesey Holiday Lettings

Ty Rhiannon is well equipped, super clean, warm, comfy, airy & bright. We’ve stayed several times and are never disappointed. Great value for money and easy if holidaying with a hound. Aberffraw is an amazing location with its stunning views, dunes & beach. Easy access to anywhere else on the island too. Brilliant

Our stay was excellent, very nice apartment sofa especially comfortable. There was everything you needed would definitely stay again in winter, but having a large German Shepherd a garden would have been better especially in the summer months that’s why we normally stay at ty Arthur, this apartment is superb , really quiet and peaceful. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again .

Cosy Apartment

I love this little apartment it’s cosy and comfortable and on a nice complex near to the estuary and the beach. The balcony is great with panoramic views — I take a deckchair so I can sit and relax there. My dog loves to watch the world and other dogs go by. A gate on the balcony would be really helpful — I have to bring a baby gate so Henry Houdini does not escape.
