Enter Y Stabl (pronounced 'Uh Stab-al') through the living room area, comfortably furnished with a large corner sofa, armchair, coffee table, and a flat-screen TV. The open-plan kitchen diner is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare family meals, beach picnics, or packed lunches for a hike along the Anglesey Coastal Path. The dining table seats up to six guests and spills out to a patio area, perfect for long summer evenings.

The first-floor features two bright and airy bedrooms. The double bedroom offers a cosy space, while the triple room with three single beds is ideal for children or friends. Both bedrooms feature skylights that let natural sunlight flood in during the morning and create warmth in the evenings. The family bathroom includes a large walk-in shower, sink, toilet, and a heated towel rail.

Y Stabl offers a stone-walled cottage garden with a patio area, perfect for enjoying the stunning countryside views and Anglesey sunsets. The outdoor space is ideal for dining al fresco during warm evenings. Parking for one car available on-site in front of the front door.

Y Stabl is one of two cottages, the other being The Granary, so if you are holidaying in an extended family or friends group you can rent both properties together.

Another enjoyable visit

This is the third time that we have stayed at this cottage, the weather was very cold at times but the cottage was nice and warm with the electric heaters that we could control rather than stoarge heaters often found on Anglesey. A very peaceful retreat and a good location to get to other parts of the island. We hope to be back again.

We have absolutely loved staying here. It was the perfect place to stay as a family with the dog. Perfectly located with walks to the beach and the village or just a short drive.

A warm, comfortable cottage. An excellent base for discovering the island.

The cottage was warm, comfortable and ideally situated for discovering the island. It was generally clean and well equipped but there were some very minor issues which I feel need attention… . three of the four cereal bowls were cracked and/or badly chipped . the vegetable peeler did not function . there was no potato masher . the cheese grater had not been washed after its last use . the kitchen waste bin was awkward to use and needed updating. The planning and management of my booking was first class. Thank you. It was a most enjoyable holiday.

Peaceful location

Peaceful location although on a working farm, jets fly over during working hours which are enjoyable to watch. Central for sightseeing, lots of beaches a short drive away. Take an eyemask for sleeping if the light bothers you as there's gaps at the velux windows. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay, we'd come back.

Overall a Perfect Stay!

My wife and I recently spent 10 days at Y Stabl. The location is fantastic, with great views of the mountains of Snowdonia. You can even hear the sea at night when it's quiet. The cottage was clean and well-equipped, with plenty of space for us and our dog. The only thing I noted was that the mattresses on the beds were way too soft and springy, but the rooms were clean and well-equipped, and it did not detract from our stay. One other thing to note during the day: the aircraft from the nearby RAF base fly very low right overhead. Our dog was more interested in the sheep in the next field, but a more nervous dog may be bothered by the planes. This is only normal in the mornings and late afternoons during the week; otherwise, it is very quiet. Overall, it is a great spot, just 5 minutes to beautiful beaches and 5 minutes to the Oyster Catcher restaurant. An ideal base to explore Anglesey.

Awesome Ynys Mon

Lovely cottage and great spec...and even when we discovered no frying pan AHL dropped a new one off straight away. Ideal location for exploring the island too and nice and peaceful surroundings.

Cottage was great for what we needed. Could do with a frying pan or wok rather than just saucepans but that is just me being too fussy probably. Great area, easy walk to the beach/Oyster Catcher. Owner super friendly.

A pleasant and relaxing stay

A friend and I had a pleasant and relaxing stay at Y Stabl. The property was clean, comfortable and had everything we required. It was also very peaceful. It was a very short break but we could not have asked for better. This was my second stay with this company and I appreciated their very high standards.

Great Location to visit all the nearby locations very quickly.

The cottage is comfortable and clean with all the comforts of home. We loved the location and only a short drive to our favourite places on the Island. The Kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need if you want cook for yourself. The local shop a short walk across the fields or minutes in the car provide all the essentials. The chippy at Rhosneiger is great to pick up food after a day out sightseeing.

Nice stay even though a little out of the way

We had a very nice stay,very quiet place, a little to far from Rhosneiger, we normally stay in the village, the house itself was fine, double bed was more three quarters and the shower wasn't very good, kitchen was fine, electric panel heaters in the living area were excellent and we certainly needed them, the field opposite looks like it is going to be used for caravan/camping which will cause an access problem as the lane to the house is quite long and only wide enough for one car, so meeting vehicles coming the other way might be an issue

Anglesey in a cold, wet June

No problems with the cottage. It was clean and well resourced. But it was a little too remote for us as we had to take the car out every day . Unfortunately, our weather was cold and miserable so we did not see Anglesey at its best. We did love seeing the planes at RAF Valley, though.

An enjoyable stay at this very comfortable cottage

Not far from Rhosneiger, we turned into a narrow road, round a few corners and onto the bridge over the main railway line where you can see the old farm below you, from this bridge you can see the see the sea and plenty of countryside. There is plenty of parking directly in front of the cottage so easy to offload the luggage. We found the cottage particularly warm and welcoming with everthing we needed and spotlessly clean. The weather for us was not good with Storm Bert but it didn't stop us having plenty of walks and exploring the island knowing that we had a nice cosy cottage to return to. Our second visit and I am sure that we will be back next year.

Excellent week AGAIN

We love this cottage, it’s in a remote location which suits us but it’s still only a mile or so from Rhosneigr and half a mile to a local store.. it’s just very peaceful and we prefer staying here over being in the centre of a village or town.. the facilities are pretty good and the kitchen has almost everything you need.. we also love using the walled garden for morning coffee or late afternoon drinks or games (or snoozes) and we often use the back area too.. which perhaps needs a little bit of colour and a couple of comfy loungers even.. Both bedrooms more than adequate and the bathroom is good enough too. We’ve booked again for next year, we love Anglesey and part of it is to do with Y Stabl.

Peaceful haven

Really enjoyed our recent stay at Y Stable . The quietest place I’ve ever stayed surrounded by beautiful countryside, and wildlife in abundance. Nice kitchen , with excellent oven , and cooking utensils . Nice living and dining area , with French doors opening onto small patio . The only downside, was the triton shower, was impossible to operate . It was either freezing cold , or scalding hot . I also suggest a new 3 piece for living room , as did not find it comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. The internet was ok , apart from two afternoons .

A wonderful week in a lovely cottage in an excellent location

We spent a lovely week at Y-Stabl which is in a wonderful rural location within easy reach of Rhosneigr. Local beaches only a short drive away...or they are walkable! Also a good location for touring the rest of the island. The cottage is well equipped and the outdoor seating areas lovely. Beds were really comfy....and the shower, once the setting is in the right position, it was fine. (others comment on poor pressure and cold/varying temperature). On a down side- the fridge is very small, we only did a basic shop and it was full. A family with hungry teenagers would struggle! The cottage itself was very clean on arrival. However I did have to wipe out the fridge when we arrived as there were "bits" in it. And the cutlery and crockery needed washing as a lot looked greasy. The frying pan, grill and baking trays all had evidence of what was last cooked. I left foil in the grill and scrubbed the pan and baking tray before leaving. There was a welcome pack of tea/coffee/biscuits etc. Also a pack with a tube of washing up liquid, black bin bags......but no pedal bin liners which we had to buy. Also there were no basic cleaning items, which again we had to buy. However there were 5 dish-washer tablets....but after searching all week in each and every cupboard we never did find the dish washer!!!! All in all, Y-Stabl is a great place to stay, we would not hesitate to recommend it.

4th visit this time and the 5th next year already booked!

My partner, 14 year old daughter and little Jackapoo Indie, love this place.. A lovely remote and peaceful cottage but still within a 15 minute walk of The Oyster Catcher Inn (great pub, restaurant, pizza / street food place) and 20 mins of Rhosneigr village centre itself.. (5 mins by car)... We feel at home here and the cottage itself has everything we need for the week's holiday.. Spacious second bedroom for the kid(s), decent enough double room too and the kitchen / lounge area is great for family time each night after coming back from dinner. (Smart TV adequate too).. we often use the lovely walled garden / picnic area at the front (for use of all the 3 holiday cottages) but it's rare that you ever share it to be honest, as it's so quiet. There is a useful exclusive back yard / garden area to the cottage which has a picnic table and furniture, a sun trap when the sun is out. It's decent enough (and secure for the dog) but I always think it needs to be brightened up a little as it's a bit bland and could be so much better.. views are good though. Finally, as I said we do love this place, but if asked by the owner I'd advise them that the shower might need replacing as it's a bit weak and takes forever to warm up, perhaps a new oven (current one is dated but we didn't cook anyway) and a new washing machine eventually (didn't wash too well)... BUT none of this really bothered us at all.. Bring on next year. Travel tips: nearby Aberffraw beach is beautiful, as is the even nearer beach Porth Tyn Tywyn which is almost a hidden gem as it's never too busy and also has a Wild sauna there and an excellent coffee / food truck. When my partner and I 'escape to the country' eventually, this area definitely appeals to us..

Lovely break

Had a lovely break in Y Stabl at Glan Gors owners were on hand next door if we needed anything but we’re not intrusive. The house had everything we needed to our stay and despite being down a private track was relatively easy to find with the directions supplied to us.

Remote location is perfect hideaway . Stayed before and wasn’t too disappointed although bathroom would benefit this time from a deeper clean in places . Understand money has been lost through pandemic but some price hikes a little too steep . Understand the need to recoup some costs but along with all the restaurants doing the same makes it a little pricey.

Lovely cottage - everything you need.

A well equipped cottage, clean and ideally situated for Rhosneigr and surrounding areas. We have stayed in many cottages in Wales and this one ticked all the boxes! I was particularly impressed with the level of customer service from Rhosneigr Holiday lettings - they were excellent.
