The Copa Cabana at Copacabana
*IMPORTANT: The property next door will be doing an extension, due to be completed in February 2026. Please be mindful of associated noise when considering your booking. A discount has already been applied to the next few months to compensate for any inconvenience.
You have front row seats to find peace and visual delight as the beauty of the bush reserve meets the Pacific Ocean. Watch the sun rise and the moon illuminate the ocean. Watch the whales go by. This truly is the perfect couples retreat. The Copa Cabana is a free standing residence, situated on the front half of a block which houses a second dwelling behind and completely separate from the Cabana. All you need to bring are beach towels and what you are going to eat and drink.
Please note, you will need to bring your own firewood to the property to use the fire pit.
Small dogs are welcome but please notify us BEFORE booking so we can arrange a special offer to accommodate your fury friend. There will be an additional fee of $160.
The space
A quiet and beautiful self contained split level bungalow with pool and ocean views. Kitchen and other cooking amenities include; bar fridge, microwave, sunbeam frying pan, electric 2 burner hotplate, kettle, toaster, sandwich maker and coffee machine. Please note, there is no oven and no dishwasher. There are no laundry facilities at The Copa Cabana.
Guest access
Guests have exclusive access to the pool, built in sauna and all amenities. You have an exclusive spot to park your car on the left hand side of the driveway, walk to the left of the garage, walk down the path past the steps(be careful) and you will find the Cabana over looking the pool and ocean. If you are arriving late, you may need to use a torch or your phone to safely walk down the short path at night.
Other things to note
Our property has a built-in sauna which is a great novel feature. You're welcome to indulge in your own personal spa treatment in the sauna and we have instructions provided for you so you can use it easily throughout your stay. Please read up on the suitability of taking a sauna based on your own health status. The owners take no responsibility for any illness or injury caused by your use of the sauna.
This property is also perfect for whale watching. Depending on what month you choose to stay you will either see the whales migrating north (May/June/July), or a pod with their brand new whale calf heading back down south (September/October).
If you choose to bring a small dog, there will be an additional fee of $150 added to your booking. Dogs MUST NOT be left unattended in the Copa Cabana; please keep them off the furniture. Please bring your own bedding for your dog.
If enjoying the daybed in the pool area, please ensure the adjustable shade canopy is pushed back in strong winds.
Terms and Conditions of Holiday Letting
1. There are to be no parties, nor any other types of functions held at this property
2. Each guest is expected to behave in a manner which is conducive to the safety, comfort and convenience of other guests within the property and surrounding properties.
3. Disturbance of neighbours (immediate neighbours have office contact details), including excessive noise, is prohibited and will result in termination of rental. includes noise outside after 10pm.
4. A breach of house rules includes: any extra people on the premises at any time; noisy, offensive and/or unruly behaviour; damage to or destruction of property; improper or unseemly conduct; any act or omission which, in the opinion of the Manager, adversely affects or brings discredit upon the Manager, the owner or other guests.
5. The property is let for only the number of persons specified and agreed in email correspondence. These particular individuals are referred to as guests. There must not be any additional person on the property at any time.
6. It is a requirement that you leave the property in a clean condition, similar to that in which it was found. Your rental includes a general clean. Excess charges will apply if you leave a mess. You are responsible for the cost of stain removal for walls, carpets and upholstery, such as beer, wine, food, muddy feet, extreme sand or excess cleaning required for the kitchen.
ALL kitchen items must be put back where they belong, no dirty dishes left behind on your departure day. Please also make sure that ALL items you have washed up. Please DO NOT rearrange kitchen items.
ALL rubbish needs to be taken outside. Excess rubbish that does not fit in the bin must be removed.
Please DO NOT REARRANGE cupboards or furniture. Please leave the BBQ clean. Damage, breakages, theft and loss are the tenants’ responsibility during their stay and if noted on inspection by our cleaners/managers will be charges against you.
7. This is a NON SMOKING residence. Smoking is not permitted indoors. Do not smoke inside any area of the residence. Please be a courteous smoker if you do smoke (outside only) and ensure the wind does not blow it inside. DO NOT leave cigarette butts, dirty ashtrays or put butts in the garden planters.
