Tanglewood - lovely 6 bedroom holiday home

Tanglewood is a two storey rammed earth and timber house ideal for groups or families wanting self-contained holiday accommodation close to Margaret River, local wineries, and the beaches.

The house is spacious with a large main lounge, dining room, TV/family room and a fully equipped luxury kitchen. There are 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms which easily accommodate up to 10 guests in comfort and privacy.

In warm weather the rammed earth keeps the house cool, and in winter the slow combustion fire warms the house.

Generous verandas invite you to chill out with a glass of wine while and enjoy the peaceful bush.

The main upstairs bedroom has a kingsize double bed and ensuite bathroom. There are three other bedrooms upstairs, one with a queen sized bed, and two each with 2 single beds. These share a second bathroom. The two downstairs bedrooms each have a queen sized bed, and share the third bathroom. There is an additional seperate toilet downstairs.

All linen is supplied, with the exception of beach towels. The house has a cot and high chair..

The kitchen is fully equipped with generous quantities of crockery, cutlery and glassware, as well as a microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The pantry contains essentials such as spices, salt and pepper, cooking oil, sauces and breakfast spreads. There is also a separate laundry containing an automatic washing machine, tumble-dryer and a large fridge suitable for drinks.

The entertainment area includes extensive verandas, with garden furniture and barbeques, outdoor play equipment, a comfortable lounge and a family room/ TV room.


Local attractions

Tanglewood is ideally positioned to explore the surrounding area. It is within easy reach of world-class wineries, restaurants, popular swimming and surfing beaches, caves, bushwalking and bike riding trails as well as a whole range of excellent local arts and craft galleries.

It is five minutes by car to Margaret River town or to the beaches at Prevelly and Gnarabup.

At the moment we leave a free night between each booking to ensure correct cleaning.

We require a minimum 3 night booking over long weekends, 4 nights at Easter and 5 nights over Christmas or New Year.

Comfortable home in relaxing setting

Relaxing and very well equiped home close to Margaret River and surrounds. Everyone enjoyed their stay on this beautiful property and didnt wsnt our holiday to come to an end.

Excellent Home

The house was well appointed and the beds super comfy for a blissful sleep. Location was very convenient for a range of Margaret River activities. Host is very friendly and has taken extra care to ensure guests enjoy their stay.

Lovely home from home

The property is lovely. Great accommodation for 8 adults and it had everything you could need, really did feel like home from home. The location is only a few kms out of town and so peaceful and quiet with evening visits from the local kangaroos. Would certainly recommend and wished we could have stayed for longer.

A short break in Margaret River

Tanglewood is a lovely holiday home set among the bushes. It's located in a very convenient area, which is close to the wineries and other attractions. It was an enjoyable and a relaxing stay.

Great holiday house

We had 10 people stay in this gorgeous house. With 6 rooms and 3.5 bathrooms it was the perfect size. The location was fantastic also only 5 mins from the beach and 5 mins from the town centre. Fantastic stay, highly recommend!!

Short stay - wish it was longer!

What a fantastic property! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us and making that last minute adjustment so stress free! A beautiful location to sit and enjoy the bird life, privacy and seclusion. This home has an abundance of bedrooms, private bathrooms and lovely community areas to enjoy. A kitchen with everything you could possibly need and very good communication with booking. The linen was clean and fresh as was the rest of the house. Again, thankyou for sharing your home.

Great long weekender with friends

Perfect house for three nights away with friends. we did a lucky dip to allocate the six bedrooms, and loved that the kitchen was so well appointed with stuff that cooking for ourselves vs. eating out some evenings was an option!

Delightful Tanglewood

A huge and beautifully decorated house that catered well for our family reunion. Lots of lovely sitting areas with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. The house is fabulous for large groups.

Fabulous location and house

House is a fantastic place for a group of friends to have a getaway down south. Various spaces and bathrooms. This house was so epic with everything we needed besides our own food. The kitchen was filled with every item needed to cook and each room was great. Absolutely loved staying here and will return.

A great home for a group or family.

The hose is located in a very nice rural setting, and still close to Margaret River town. The local Kangaroos paid a nightly visit. We had a party of 9, including our three grand children. There was ample room for all. A good holiday home, conditions permitting, we would stay there again.

Tanglewood Getaway

Recently had the pleasure of hiring this superb residence for a weekend in the Margaret River area to attend a Milestone birthday nearby. It was as advertised and more. Great retreat for our extended family. Marie-Louise is an excellent communicator. Our requests were facilitated easily and in a very friendly manner. Thank you... we'll be back!

Excellent place to stay with a group of friends

Great place to accommodate a large group of friends. Its rare to find a place with 6 bedrooms and the ability to easily handle so many adults. Plenty of room to be in separate areas but at the same time come together as one group. Such a well resourced property with everything you can think of taken care of. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a group holiday. We will be back.

Tanglewood to unwind

Just had a great stay at Tanglewood, with its peaceful surrounds of dense trees and bush, makes you forget there are other houses somewhere out there. House clean, beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms with lots of space. Kitchen fully equipped and the two lounges great to accommodate the nine of us. Fire place with wood provided, even has an out door fire pit, but weather not conducive for us to use. Relaxed and recharged here, we will definitely come back.

The house was wonderfully equiped and had a very good layout. It suited beautifully as we were 3 generations. Unfortunately it was a bit dirty. The kitchen floor was very sticky and the table was covered with crumbs. A bit disappointing but our stay was otherwise perfect.

Wet break

Lovely house, with lots of space and plenty of things there for us to do - books, games puzzles etc. This was good as the weather was really wet all weekend. Some dishes were not very clean in the cupboard though the dishwasher seemed to work well for us. Electric blanket in downstairs bedroom near laundry did not work. We enjoyed the house and would go again.

The perfect place

We wanted to spend an entire weekend with our Bridal Party altogether to get ready for and celebrate our wedding at a local winery. Tanglewood was absolutely perfect!! Large enough to fit everyone and to still have extra space so we weren't on top of each other. The surroundings are gorgeous and the property is well placed along Caves Road so you're close to a variety of wineries. Their kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we've ever had for accommodation down south!! Also loved the outdoor setting and dart board - many hours of entertainment and fun were had here! Thank you so much we absolutely loved our stay, would recommend for others and we'll be back again.

Great getaway

House catered well for 7 adults. Fridge and pantry very well stocked with condiments etc. Entrance to outside doors were in need of sweeping of leaves and debris.
