About the host
Hosted by Darren
Our connection to the Rocky Mountains goes back many years. Both of our families spent time here while we were growing up, and Estes Park quickly became a place we returned to again and again. Our first vacation together as a couple was here, followed by many more trips with our sons, building traditions and memories over time.
When the opportunity came to purchase a vacation home, Estes Park felt like the natural choice. Ann’s Chalet was created as a place to slow down, enjoy the setting, and share the kind of experience we value as guests ourselves—comfortable, well cared for, and thoughtfully managed.
Why they chose this property
This neighborhood stood out for its quiet setting, sense of space, and proximity to both Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park’s town center. It offers the feeling of being immersed in the mountains while still allowing for easy access to hiking, dining, and local attractions.
We were drawn to the balance it provides—a peaceful residential environment with expansive views, where guests can relax and enjoy the surroundings without feeling isolated. It’s a community that values calm, respect, and the natural landscape, which made it the right fit for Ann’s Chalet.
What makes this property unique
Ann’s Chalet offers a rare balance of location, setting, and privacy. The home is positioned just minutes from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park while also being a short drive to downtown Estes Park, making it easy to enjoy both outdoor exploration and local dining and shops.
Set near Mary’s Lake, the chalet enjoys expansive views and a peaceful residential atmosphere that feels immersed in the landscape rather than surrounded by activity. Guests often appreciate being close to everything they came to experience, while still returning to a quiet, spacious setting at the end of the day.
This combination of proximity, scenery, and calm is what makes Ann’s Chalet distinctive.
