Ellie's Spa Cottage - Stanley
Ellie's Spa Cottage is a delightful 1 bedroom cottage situated right in the heart of the beautiful historic seaside village of Stanley on Tasmania's North West Coast. FREE WiFi
A stand out feature is the large bathroom with a double corner hydrotherapy massage spa. Luxurious towels and bathrobes are provided, as are high quality toiletries, candles etc, making for the ultimate spa experience. Absolute bliss !!
The cottage has a superbly comfortable pillow top queen size bed, fitted with luxury cotton Sheridan sheets, soft blankets, a light warm doona, electric blanket, plus a variety of pillows for our guests comfort.
The kitchenette/dining area features polished Tasmanian blackwood timbers. The carpeted sitting room has quality leather recliner arm chairs, reverse cycle air con., flat screen TV, DVD and CD player. Books, magazines and a selection of DVD's are also supplied for our guests convenience and enjoyment.
The cottage has skylights for added warmth and charm. Beach towels are also provided over the summer months.
There is a private off street car park right beside the accommodation.
There is a large private deck with outdoor furniture and views over the township of Stanley, exclusively for Spa Cottage guests.

Attractions of Stanley
The pristine beaches surrounding Stanley are breathtaking. Stanley was settled in 1826 and has many attractions. The icon of Stanley, the famous "Nut" is a monolith rising 152 metres from the ocean, with the township built at its base. It has a chairlift to the summit, with 360 deg. views from the top - WOW. There are many historic buildings, including Highfield House, and Joe Lyons Cottage, the birth place of our Tasmanian born Prime Minister of Australia.
There are many delightful cafes and restaurants in Stanley all specialising in fresh Tasmanian fare, as well as quaint shops and galleries, a providore and speciality chocolate and ice-cream shops.
The beaches are spectacular, as are the sunrises and sunsets. There are walking tracks so everyone can enjoy Stanley from many vantage points.
Wildlife is in adundance, with a Penguin rookery, seal viewing, the Tarkine rainforests to explore, river cruises and falls.
The Seaquarium at the Stanley Wharf is a must see.
Stanley is a wonderful wedding destination, with many marriages taking place within this unique seaside village.
Stanley has a well stocked supermarket, a post office, a pharmacy and 3 churches.

The Stanley Hotel Bistro has won many awards and was host to Masterchef in 2010. Many of the eateries in Stanley specialise in fresh, world class local produce and show-case our fresh seafood, and prime grass fed beef and lamb.
All are located just as easy stroll of 20 - 400 meters from Ellie's Cottages, and the pristine beaches are just a 250 meter walk.

My husband and I are locals to Stanley, and own and operate our own accommodation, situated right in the heart of the beautiful village of Stanley.
We are also farmers, owning and operating a Murray Grey beef cattle stud here in the lush seaside village.

Why they chose this property
Our accommodation property at 8 Church Street is right in the very heart of the village, however is privately situated with its own private off street car park right beside the accommodation. We have both the Spa Cottage and the Studio Apartment, co-joined, but sound proofed and fire walled, with their own very separate entrances and outdoor areas, ensuring privacy for our guests.
What makes this property unique
Both the Spa Cottage and Studio Apartment are only 20m - 500m from all the lovely cafes, breakfast bars, restaurants, shops, supermarket and the pristine beaches.
This is one of the oldest buildings in Stanley and is heritage listed, however has been fully renovated, but retains its own unique charm.
