Loved our stay here- great location with beautiful scenery
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Our 2WD managed the road in easily and we had no issues managing power as everything was so well set up. Well stocked cabin for a family. Venus Bay is very beautiful and there is plenty to do in the surrounding areas. We stayed 3 nights.
Very relaxing and well appointed. Beautiful view and huge deck. We had everything we needed and the bathroom was a welcome surprise as it is lovely. Highly recommend this as a place to get away from everything.Communication was great and the caretaker had everything ready for us.
Information provided was comprehensive and the location is stunning. This is a real find, bit off the beaten track so great to get away from it all. We also enjoyed being able to have our Aussie Terrier along who enjoyed all the new smells. Julie was a great host.
What a fabulous restful serene place .. beautiful views of Venus Bay from verandah and all windows .. just stunning .. clean and has everything you need and want .. caretaker was so helpful and kind and the booking process was easy .. we loved it and so did our pooches .. thank you and hope to be back one day
What an incredibly beautiful location with stunning views in absolute nature. A rare opportunity to sit on the deck overlooking the entire expanse of Venus Bay, viewing magnificent sunsets, whilst watching native birds and even spotting dolphins. Just magic! We will return!
The property met our expectations, great views of the harbour and close to the beach and Venus Bay itself. Unfortunately the Harbour Point dirt road badly needs grading by the council .. doesn’t suit car with low profile tyres
Quiet location, but dated photos on website. Dog pen is old and not secure for anything bigger than toy breeds. Main bedroom was very small requiring one to climb onto end of bed to get into bed. Lovely hot shower and good wood heater. Satelitte TV was intermittent at best, so games or books are main entertainment.

Thank you for your feedback. The satellite dish was damaged by wind and rain, so we have fully repaired the fault and upgraded the satellite TV.

Rustic
Most of the facilities were great and the location was a m amazing. The "quilts" were old, thin and stained. The pillows too. The ac did not work on heat. The oven was very dirty. A small investment would flip this into a great stay.

Jen, I can confirm the air conditioner does heat. You must have put the timer on when the cleaner went in after you departed, the air conditioner was running and the cabin was heated. As you arrived before check-in time, the cleaner was still cleaning and had not finished. Thank you for raising the pillows and quilts, which we regularly update and I can attend to them.
Loved the peace and quiet, and the eco friendly set up. Everything worked, we were warm and comfortable. The blow flies in the laundry were an issue, we could not find where they got in. And the house not very well cleaned. But overall a relaxing quiet stay.
What an incredible place, the cabin was incredibly well set up, kicked any hotels butt, I've ever stayed at, the view, the locals, the wildlife, and not only did my family love it, our doggies did too! Even caught up with old friends and family..
Thank you so much for an incredible experience!!
Peaceful, beautiful little bit of paradise.. perfect spot for day trips to all the sights.. cabin was well equipped and tidy. Beautiful sunsets, and the private beach only 100m from your door.. we can't wait to come back
An amazing place to unwind and just relax and watch the world go by. Even with our collision with a roo had a silver lining if there could be one. Had 2 local couples stop and rescue us. MASSIVE SHOUT OUTS to Fred and Deb from Venus Bay and Alleleise and Neville Dophin restoring our faith in the fact there are still amazing kind people in this world. We will be back!!..... But with a car that has a bullbar :)
And thank you Julie for your understanding and allowing us to stay at an amazing part of the world.
if you love nature and tranquillity, this is for you. small, fairly basic shack with gorgeous views over venus bay that is nestled in native scrub. you will have butcherbirds and shrike thrushes singing outside your window. we ate most of our meals outside on the deck, overlooking the bay. great experience for a couple who likes nature.
What a lovely relaxed stay we had & in our own neighborhood (almost) enjoyed so much we booked for another 4 days as soon as we got home again & intend to do so every 6 weeks or so from now on :)
