Perfect family getaway! A lovely, spacious home away from home with visiting deer just as sweet as the s’mores. In fridge ice maker would have helped & coffee maker needs to be updated. Everyone was comfortable & enjoyed the surrounding adventures.

Large private cabin with tons of space

Had an amazing time in this cabin. Comes fully stocked with everything you could ever think of needing. Very clean, with plenty of space to comfortably occupy my family of 12! Any questions were immediately answered by the owners, we had absolutely no issues with our stay. We will definitely be back.

Great location; nice to get out of the heat of Zion.

We stayed here for our 10-day vacation. The location in Duck Creek Village/Dixie National Forest is a great location away from the heat and crowds of Zion. It's centrally located between Zion and Bryce NP making it easy to explore both. It was great to return to the house after a day hiking and sweating in the 100+F temps of Zion and Kanab and have temperatures that were almost 20 degrees cooler. Overall the house was nice, clean and comfortable; with lots of space for us to spread out. Our only issue was with the electric stove; we had problems with the burners not always working or turning off while cooking. I emailed the owners but never received a response (although they got back to me right away when I let them know the patio screen door was bent when we arrived). Also the outdoor grill was a mess and had to be cleaned before we used it. The only downside to the location is that if you need more than the basic necessities for groceries it's about an hour drive to a larger store in either Kanab or Cedar City.

Great Cabin

Our family of 8 had a great experience at this cabin. This cabin is easily accessable and has a great firepit. Our one complaint was that there were about 5 little black spiders we came across throughout the cabin but that may just come with the territory of being in a cabin in the woods. We will consider using this cabin again on our next visit.

Between the parks

The house was neat and clean and the location was perfect. We were 52 minutes from both Zion and Bryce NP. Duck Creek provided beautiful lakes for fishing and we were treated very kindly by the merchants in Duck Creek village.

Nice place with a few problems.

Very nice location, clean, well stocked except the ice maker was broken. Some wall switches were not labeled, one turned off the TV?? Only one restaurant was open on Tuesday. Would have been nice to know in advance. Mostly a great experience.

Disappointed

Downstairs bedroom and bathroom not cleaned. Had to wash bed sheets and some towels since a few towels had a bad smell. It looked like white dog hair on the cushions of sofa and even in the bed sheets. Main floor bathroom was not very clean. The master bedroom and bathroom upstairs were clean. It’s a beautiful area but busy probably due to the Memorial weekend. We did enjoy sitting outside by the fire pit. This is my first VRBO rental that I was disappointed with.

Perfect fall getaway spot

This was our second time staying at this property and it was just as great as the first. Communication was easy for questions and checking-in. The space is great for spreading out and also has nice spots for gathering to play games, watch a movie, etc. Its in a really nice, quiet location. There are neighbors but you also feel secluded. We enjoyed walking around there and it has easy access to the Village and all the outdoor activities. It's a perfect mountain retreat!

Perfect for medium to large groups

The property was exactly as advertised. There is tons of space. Each couple and adult had their own space and the three full baths meant one was always open. It was clean and comfortable. Really the only drawback was that there was no dishwasher but we knew that going in and since we were 7 adults we just took turns. I would rent this property again.

The cabin was perfect for our group. Very comfortable with lots of room for all.

Duck creek village is an excellent central location to explore lots of national parks, very convenient. And it is a beautiful area just to enjoy locally. We rented side by sides one day for a drive to angels landing which is amazing. Restaurants and shopping in the village are great. Quiet neighborhood for taking walks.

Clean and Large, missing some things

The property is quiet, the cabin is cute and cozy. There is a lot of space for larger groups--we had 11 people over 2 families and it was good space. The kitchen has a surprising number of small appliances (slow cookers, instant pots, etc.). And the water pressure was fantastic. Also, the host, Nate, was very responsive to all our communications and needs--very accommodating and understanding. There are a few quirks that made the stay less than ideal. There are only 10 wash cloths, and 12 bath towels--which isn't enough for a listing advertising 13 guests. Also there were only 10 forks, and the spoons were a large odd shape strongly disliked by our large group of children. All these are small, nit-picky things, but also made our stay tricky at times. Of much larger importance, the listing leaves out mention of two very important things to note. First, THERE IS NO DISHWASHER. You will need to plan on handwashing all of your dishes and appliances. And second, IN THE WINTER/EARLY SPRING YOU WILL NEED CHAINS OR 4-WHEEL DRIVE to get out of the long uphill driveway. We got stuck the first morning of the stay and lost a day of activities. Miraculously the local gas station had snow tire chains in stock that fit our vehicle that we purchased to get out of the driveway the next two mornings.

Duck Creek

Overall stay was wonderful. Lots of room. Beautiful porch areas. Had quick responses from Owner. If I had to suggest anything I would say to get better cooking pans (with Teflon, non stick) and to stock with wine glasses( only 2 in cabin) and glass drinking glasses. Also extra blankets and trash bags.
