Large country property in beautiful setting. Enjoy wildlife yet be close to all amenities in Huntington, Barboursville and even Charleston WV . Beautiful in any season. Excellent for Retreats or Reunions, even out of town Wedding guests.

1 bedroom with 2 twin beds and sitting area on second floor.
Separate sitting area in second floor hallway.
Possibility to add Jenny Lind twin w/trundle to either bedroom ($40 extra per booking).
Large Family room with large smart TV on first floor.
Large Formal living and dining rooms on first floor.
Fully equipped kitchen.
Laundry room w/washer & dryer & sink
Bedrooms have smart TVs.
1 full bath with 2 sinks and separate tub and shower on second floor.

Catch & Release Pond for fishing (previously stocked).
Near Green Bottom Wildlife Refuge (2.2 miles). There is a boat launch in this area also.
Near Marshall University (12 miles): Campus visit, Football weekend or Basketball games, Other sport or academic occasions. Graduation weekends, visiting Professors.

Far North Farm & Events is approx. 1 mile. This is a wedding venue available for elopement etc. My property would be ideal for pre or post wedding stays. Or, if not a true “elopement,it is a wonderful place for out of town family or friends to stay.
Oars or Ours Kayaks in South Charleston (40 miles) rents Kayaks & SUP Boards for extended days and will deliver.

Beautiful property in the country with lots of usable space for family members staying and the visitors we had from the area. Sydnee was gracious and accommodating and had everything we needed. I know there is some needed upkeep in the works, but it did not inhibit our stay at all. Absolutely charming and comfortable and a great place to host get togethers. Loved it and will stay again next time we are in the area.

Gorgeous and clean house, beautiful views outside, (from either of the porches), loved seeing the horses from afar, and also the deer and listening to the birds and the rooster nearby. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone who would be in the area. House is beautiful, property is beautiful, host is very accommodating and readily available. We got to take our pets with us which is mandatory for us because we don’t board. This is our second stay and look forward to the next. Can’t say enough about what a gem this property is.

Sydnee has a beautiful home and property and is an extremely accommodating host. Very family friendly with lots of toys and things for little ones. Rooms and common spaces were clean and inviting, and the kitchen was very well equipped. My friends and myself had a great time on our trip in no small part to having an awesome home base. Will definitely try to book again if I find myself travelling to the area in the future.

Beautiful Property

We loved this historical building. The interiors were beautifully redone. It was nice and private as well. We were able to relax and have fun here with no issues. There was plenty to do in a short drive away for fun day trips as well.

Motorcycle trip in West Virginia

Lovely home

The Manor House was just what we were looking for as a R&R stop over on our way home from visiting family. The house is beautiful, the property peaceful and our pups enjoyed romping in the yard. Our thanks to Sydnee for the history lesson and a wonderful stay.

We wanted a quiet, relaxing, and peaceful place to enjoy for a few days. We found it! The added plus is the history and architecture in the house. If you love antiques and historical homes, you’ll love staying here!
