Gorgeous brand new oceanfront cottage! Large one bedroom with open plan, vaulted ceilings, fireplace, exposed beams, wood finishes and AMAZING OCEAN VIEWS!!! Set on private oceanside acreage with miles of quiet beach. Lots of waterfront activities available. Along Canada's Rivera, 1 block to the Highway, coffee shops etc and 5 minutes to downtown Parksville. (Also very close to Qualicum and 20 minutes to Nanaimo).

Amazing get away place

Paul and Cathrine have set up an amazing get way home. The home is beautifully made with great details and craftsmen ship. The location on the cove is so tranquil. It’s a little piece of paradise!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Flowers by the Sea. Paul & Catherine were excellent hosts, sharing the history of their home & answering our questions. Our accommodations were very clean & had everything we needed. We look forward to coming back.

Amazing place

We really enjoyed the property. One of the very few places we stayed at that has a soul. The view is beautiful, the building is a piece of art and Paul, the owner, is very welcoming and has lots of great stories yk tell about the place. We really enjoyed our stay.

Exceptional cottage, wonderful hosts

Beautiful cottage on an exceptionally property, Paul and Catherine live next door in the main house on the same property but due to the size of the property we never felt on top of one another. My wife and I can't wait to go back, absolutely wonderful place.

This guest house is a little piece of heaven. My husband and I spent every morning and evening reading by the ocean. We walked out across the sand at low tide. I wanted another week there. We will be back.

Stunning Property, Ideal Location, Very Private

We loved our stay at this property. The hosts were very friendly and they took very good care of us. You are right on the water and it was easy to take the kayaks out. The house is beautiful, clean and well appointed; we didn’t lack anything. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous property

Fantastic property right on the ocean. The cabin has great wood beams and being on the ocean we loved having the ocean breeze through the patio doors. Really quiet but close to the highway to be able to enjoy parksville and surrounding areas. We will be back.

Serene setting

"Flowers by the Sea" cottage provided us the best of 2 worlds... an awesome place to enjoy the sea & view the distant mountains, as well as gorgeous flower beds. The flowers were of many different types & colours. We loved the peace & quiet along with easy driving to local sights. The antiques inside the cottage were a special delight. We plan to return.

Wonderful cottage and wonderful hosts in Parksville, BC, Canada

This striking cottage is right on the water. We enjoyed a very relaxing week there. The cottage is built of first growth timbers with huge windows and porch overlooking the sea. The owner (who built the place) lives next door and was very helpful. One bedroom with king bed, one bath and fully equipped kitchen. Gas fireplace also. Two kayaks are available. We loved staying here and we’ll be back!

Exceeded expectation

We have rented many places through VRBO and this was by far the nicest experience. The pictures on the web site really do not do the accommodations justice and the property that the home is on is stunning. However what really sets this rental apart is Paul the owner. All communications with him were excellent and he really went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Would not hesitate to recommend this place and we will certainly be back in the future.

Great retreat

What a wonderful property and a great location right on the beach. The grounds are fantastic and there is ample space outdoors and easy to access the beach. The premises are amazing and the story behind the construction is something else! Very well equipped kitchen and great fireplace. The bedroom is very nice and spacious. It could use some side tables and bedside lamps but thats a small thing. Thanks for your hospitality Paul and the lovely bottle of wine! Will definitely recommend to our friends!

Perfect relaxing retreat and getaway!

Fabulous oceanfront cottage by the shore just South of Rathtrevor beach. The “cottage” is built with beautiful timbers and incredible craftsmanship. We felt at home, and relaxed right away and were able to decompress, read, hang and chill. Grounds are spectacular and location is close to recreation, provisions,,,, We cooked and ate in using the well appointed kitchen. Good A/V system, couches and chairs for reading, relaxing or enjoying the view. Owners are lovely and their care for the cottage and property shows. Well appointed and set up perfectly for a couple to enjoy. Have used VRBO many times, always a different place. This one we will come back to.
