Good stay. Owner could provide a few trash bags, more cooking pans and utensils, more than 1 dish towel, a broom...just suggestions as I too have a short term vacation rental. We enjoyed our visit. We would stay again.

We are glad you enjoyed your visit and would stay again, we apologize that you could not find the extra trash bags that were provided under the sink and the extra dish towels in the drawer, but a text message or a response to our phone calls (to see how your stay was) would have remedied that inconvenience. We feel it’s important to make ourselves available to guest for any and all questions. That is why we reached out to you during your stay and you did not response. You may not have wanted to talk, but these very reasons are why we call and text. We assume if you do not answer everything is going well. Look forward to your next visit.

This property was ok as a place for our family to sleep while visiting other family in Ohio. The owner was quick to respond at the time of booking to confirm the reservation and provided the house rules. He also helped find some stuffed animals left behind by one of the kids after we checked out and for that we are appreciative.
There were several disappointing factors:
1. Owner requires “shoe free” home and reminded us several times before arrival, but the floors were gross and our feet were black after the first hour. They definitely had not been cleaned in a long time!
2. The furniture was not functional for a house of this size. The dining table had bar height chairs so you couldn’t sit and eat at it. It was a large table and would have been nice to play games on too, but there were only 4 chairs and one was broken/unusable. The beds were old and noisy every time you turn over. Many of the lights/lamps did not have bulbs, so it was dark throughout. The couch in tv room had slices cut in the fabric so the stuffing was coming out.
3. The owner was adamant about speaking prior to entering the home, yet wasn’t available until we were almost at the house. The conversation was to go over the house rules again and some small talk. Normally wouldn’t mind this, although I’ve never had to do this for other rentals, but it could have been timed better or sent in the app.
Overall, I would not stay here again nor recommend.

First of all thank for choosing our home, we always want our guest to enjoy every aspect of their stay and strive to change things when they do not.
To address the sofa, yes there is a small tear at the very back corner of the sofa that is stitched. The patch does not affect the ability to sit. There are 3 sofas in the home so there is plenty of seating.
Regarding the kitchen chairs we messaged you asking if you wanted us to bring in the newly purchased chairs from the garage and you responded no, so we feel this comment was a bit disrespectful since we asked and you declined. Just as a side note the chairs have been replaced. We do understand the height of the table we sat down and it was uncomfortable, but we have made that adjustment with the new chairs.
We do insist on speaking just before guest arrive to give codes and final instructions, it is your preference to feel that it was unnecessary, we feel it’s important not to have the conversation too early in the day things can happen on a trip and our conversation is fresh in your mind when you arrive at the house.
In 4 years and 9 months we have never had a complaint about the cleanliness of our home, we have reviewed the cleaning protocols with our cleaning company and they assured us the floors were mopped. Light bulbs have been replaced in the (2) lamps.
The beds are not new, but sturdy, mattress softness is a personal preference.
You failed to mention finding the items left entailed to trips to the house because you could not recall where they were and they were finally found under the covers in one of the bedrooms.
We try to go out of our way for our guest especially when they communicate with us their needs.
Happy Travels
Our group visited for the Arnold Expo weekend March 2026. Good communication with the owner. Good location to/from CMH and downtown Columbus. I would recommend this place & if I am in the area again I would consider this renting again.
This home was absolutely amazing!! Cleanliness and neighborhood are always on the top of list when looking for a place to stay and this place was a 10 out of 10 for both. My family and I enjoyed our time. We will definitely keep this listing in our favorites for next time!!
This property was a very clean 4 bedroom 2.5 bath house in a quiet neighborhood. Neighbors were very nice. We used this location as housing for 5 employees working on a traffic study at John Glenn Airport(13 min away). Property was exactly as described and owner was nice and easy to communicate with. I would use this property again if i were in the area.
The house is very nice and clean. We didn't have any problems. Plenty of towels and everything that you would need.

Disliked: Check-in, communication
Average house in average neighborhood.
Booking seemed off with too many double checking questions all based on previous renters. Seems more concerned over how the house is used then how comfortable the guest are. 4 bedrooms but two have what seems to be old style mattresses that are very uncomfortable maybe good for kids but not adults. Extra charge for use of washer dryer and reluctant to allow the use of ironing board an iron which when we are there for business is vital to the impression on our end for meetings we were attending. Felt like more of an interrogation then openly receiving us as a guest. Never had that experience in my life over several probably over 25 stays in places such as this. Most people very upbeat and welcoming not talking about how so many others have ruined the ability for others to be trusted to do what is right and just enjoy the stay in the house. Consensus of the group staying we will not look to book again in the future.

Everyone’s actions or reactions are based on previous experiences and we would be skeptical about anyone who stated otherwise.
Yes, we ask questions because we try to get to know the people staying in our home. We also like to ensure our home is a good fit for our guests.
We try to have 3 encounters with our guest once booked, at the start of the stay, once to check on any needs that may arise during the stay, and at the end to confirm all is well, which is what our encounters were with you, except for your question about the iron during the night.
Our reluctance in regards to the iron is because our house rules state “an iron is to be requested before you check in”, so we can have it in the home before you get there, you sir assured us you had read the rules, yet you requested an iron at 11:33 pm which proves you in fact were not accurate in your declaration.
Extra charges for various items are all made clear in the house details and nothing should have been a surprise (i.e. Washer and dryer, which during our conversations before checking in you stated you did not need). This is why we take great efforts to confirm that you are aware of how our house runs.
We are saddened that you have taken such a position after your stay because we do want everyone to have a wonderful experience in our home. However during your visit you never implied any discontent (when we checked up on you) other than not requesting an iron in advance.
We wish you and your group well in the future as you pursue other opportunities.
If you’re looking for a comfortable family home with two living spaces and four bedrooms along with a huge kitchen, this is your place. Like extra pillows? They’re here! Like lots of extra towels and linens? They’re here! Like a fully stocked kitchen with blender, coffee maker and tons of other kitchen stuff? They’re here! Board games galore? They’re here! This home was perfect for our group of eight adults and two little ones. I would recommend to everyone. Enjoyed all the paper hand towels and soap in each bathroom especially with our large group. Note: although washer / dryer is listed, there is an extra charge if you want Jay to unlock that room.
Jay was very easy to boom with. He was informative, and you could tell he really cared about the house. The house was clean and spacious for my family. If I’m being super picky I would just suggest added mattress pads to make the beds comfy.
The house was clean and well kept. The owner was easy to work with. It was in a nice family neighborhood. The only complaint is that the beds were very uncomfortable.
Spent four nights at the house with eight people. Worked well for our trips to the Columbus Zoo and the Wilds. Several close restaurants as well as grocery stores. Nice washer and dryer. Saw deer in the back yard which was fun!
We visited for our granddaughters 1st birthday. The house was a perfect 3 miles from my son.
There were 6 adults and the house was just perfect.
Beautifully updated, very clean.
We would stay again, we enjoyed all the extras like coffee pods for machine, creamers, sugars etc.
Bathrooms stocked. Sheets and towels very clean and soft!
Thank you!!
