Beautiful and peaceful! Family loved it. Better pillows needed. Downstairs bedrooms could have been a little cleaner. Overall a great week with gorgeous weather. Yard was amazing for wiffle ball and volleyball combined with fire pit and superb access to the cleanest water!! We enjoyed our week and would definitely return.
Once again we had a fabulous stay at this amazing house. It was our fourth year and are coming back next year. Suzanne is so easy to communicate with and our family loves it.
Wonderful quiet location with easy access to amenities.s.
House was very comfortable for a family of 8 & has a great outdoor area for relaxing & enjoying the lake view. House is well stocked & the beds were very comfortable. We rented kayaks for a few of the days while we were there. If you don't want to swim from a dock I would recommend water shoes because the beach area has small stones. Weather was perfect & we had a great experience & vacation.
This is our second year at this house and we absolutely love it. Suzanne is great to work with and she makes the whole process so easy. We have six adults and 4 children and we all fit comfortably. The house has everything you need. The beach area is wonderful for the little ones. This year we had a full orange moon and a rainbow. Couldn’t ask for anything more!!
Highly recommend this property for a summer get away. We had 7 adults and had plenty room well maybe it was a bit difficult with seven in the kitchen! Throughly enjoyed the view of the lake. Floated on a raft for hours, plenty of reading, wine, games and laughter with family. We will be back.
This property had everything we were looking for in a lake rental. Perfect for docking our boat and had plenty of space. Beautiful rooms with beautiful views and had lots of lawn area for games. We loved it!
We had such a great time at this home. It was clean and we wanted for nothing. Thank you Suzanne for such a great experience. You never have to leave the property.
Great home. Overstocked with all the extras . Clean, roomie, great deck, awesome yard, great beach area for the 18mos old. Jordan bay calm and beautiful.
We enjoyed our stay this year ash much as we did last year at this property. All 10 of us, ranging from 18mo - 63, enjoyed our stay. You can't beat the location on the lake. Easy excess from the highway, close enough to the grocery store but on a quiet cove. The little beach is perfect for little ones to play on and the dock is great for jumping and diving. The house is very well equipped with everyday items and many extra kitchen gadgets. The beds are comfortable and are pleantiful.
The house was perfect for our family. Loved having separate upstairs and downstairs areas for our kids and their families to use. The dock was great for our boat. The beach area, yard and firepit were perfect for our grandkids aged 3-15.
Property Manager was very informative and responded quickly to all questions. Our family had a nice relaxing vacation on the lake, just what we wanted!
Perfect layout for families who want to play on the lake
Great week...rooms downstairs for kids and upstairs for parents. Beach and dock are great. Thanks for allowing slightly early check-in. Would absolutely return.
This place is everything you could wish for in a vacation rental. Over several days we had a nearly full house, 10 of us, 6 adults 4 children, and the living space never felt crowded. The yard was perfect for the kids to play in and for KanJam for the adults. The dock was perfect for swimming around, and a great place for the young kids to practice their jumping-in technique. We had plenty of rides in the kayak and row boat, including out to the nearby island and back.
The kitchen was well stocked with staples and all the appliances worked perfectly. The location is open to the lake (Jordan Bay) but protected by being in a bit of a cove, so it is relatively quiet and relaxing. The space between neighbors allows for a private feel.
We had a great week, if all goes as planned we will be back next year.
We have rented properties in Maine for the last 8 summers, and this by far was the best and most usable waterfront of any of those previous. I would highly recommend this property for those looking to relax and enjoy Sebago Lake - while also having a usable lawn for children to play. We brought a boat and the property has more than adequate docking. The house was spacious and had everything you would ever need (even uncommon kitchen utensils). Also, the large deck with grill made for very fun family gatherings - and a fantastic view of the water both in the morning and evening. We will look to rent this property again in the future. Thank you Suzanne.
We had a great week at Susanne and Tom's place. Despite not being marketed as such, it was very kid friendly (we brought our own stuff), with a great sandy beach that they could wade in. The large yard also made for a great space for them to run around.
The location on the lake is great, nice and quiet cove with very little boat traffic, and the house location is convenient to groceries stores, restaurants, and coffee. The house had everything we needed to cook, and we didn't even look in the downstairs kitchenette!
A couple notes, even though they weren't issues for us- there is no AC, but there are fans in each room. The lower level stayed fairly cool. Previous reviews had mentioned a musty smell which was not apparent to us, however the dehumidifier was running constantly and needed to be emptied every other day. Also there is a "right of way" path on the side of the property that is fenced off for family access to a small section of the lake. We enjoyed chatting with the family members, however if you are looking for a completely private yard, this might not be the right rental for you. Overall we were very happy and will certainly keep it in mind for future visits.

Good location, good property. Our family enjoyed the water and tha accessibility for our water toys
Some issues: Propane tanks were empty when we got there, and that was handled by the property manager. Could be cleaner, but we are veteran renters and know it goes with the territory. We had to repair a damaged screen door to prevent insects. Dehumidifier is a necessity and was full when we got there. It was a lot of money for a property that was not in tip top condition. It is a nice house and a great location, but needs better maintenance. Overall, our stay was great. We are Mainers who now live away, and it was good to be back.

About the host

This house was built by my father in 1975. We started off with the cottage next door and then my parents built this house. I bought the cottage in 1984 and then this house in 1998. This has been my summer residence for most of my life. Many family memories have been made on Sebago Lake and on this property. Memories that will be cherished forever.
Why they chose this property
The house works great for family members with grand parents or aunts and uncles. Lower level can be used separately or shared by all. The lakeside yard is flat and great for kids. The gradual entry into the water also is convenient for swimming or water sports. The deck offers a great way to relax and enjoy meals while soaking in the view.
What makes this property unique
Quiet cove which is perfect for waterskiing or swimming. Early in the morning the water is like glass and is calling for water sports. The lawn provides great space for games with a gradual entry to the beach and water The dock has a sitting area which is ideal for enjoying the view. The house is set up nicely for family members to have their own space yet come together for meals and relaxing on the deck. My father made the kitchen table from logs on the property. Many meals and gatherings took place around this table.
