This lovely little loft space was a gem! Our vacation time was hindered by lots of rain so having a cozy space to relax in was even more important than usual.
We were able to have relaxing family time in the upstairs area and the beds were very comfortable. Our hosts checked in and were careful to make sure we had all we needed.
The upstairs area felt a bit like a Parisienne apartment. Highly recommend!
Nice property. At the end of a quite street, yet still close to restaurants and buisnesses on John's Island. Washer and dryer. Patio in the back. Nice sitting area in the front. Plenty of space! Very nice place!
This is an excellent property. The owner is nice and willing to assist you. It's clean, well kept, and updated. It's connected to the owner's property, but you have plenty of privacy. Would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful place to stay. The owner was so great with communication. We needed to extend our stay and she made it happen. We were so pleased to have the opportunity to stay at such a wonderful place.
We chose this property because of its location between CofC and the beach - this was absolutely perfect! The apartment was so cute and so clean. The upstairs and downstairs rooms each having their own bathroom was perfect for me and the friend I was staying with - so great! We hope to book again in the future. Thank you!
I had to stay here for an Extended period of time. The owners were very helpful and consistent in communication. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is great! I enjoyed having the kitchen and living room space and being able to have dinner and breakfast there when I stayed! Good for the solo traveler and small groups!
Property about 25 min to Charleston ( thats with traffic peek time). But it was a nice place to get away from the business of downtown.Wild Olive is a great restaurant , make reservations . The distillery was cool and they have a Asian food truck. Mexican taco food truck Gallina loca is good too.
Read a few reviews which scared us a little bit. The Air Conditioning worked great no limitations, plenty of AC plug outlets throughout the home, the request to put the sheets in the wash machine is understandable with Covid. Over all the place was very enjoyable quaint and centrally located to Charleston and Kiawah Island.
Easy two night stay for a wedding weekend. Commute to downtown was easy, even on a Saturday. I wouldn’t recommend for families or long stays. The kitchen did not feel equipped for preparing meals. I only made coffee. But we did not run into any major issues.
This was my first time using VBRO and I will probably not do it again.
This renter falsely describes the amenities that you will have (cable, wifi, stove). You will be required to do laundry that is never mentioned until you arrive and start reading the list of rules.
No cable...only Apple TV for one television downstairs. The upstairs television is not working.
Forget Wifi....WiFi.... is none. If there is, it's a BIG SECRET!!
Out of 3 outlets I plugged my phone into, none worked, so my phone died. Not sure how I was supposed to work without my phone or laptop....but again I believed the false list of amenities and the write up of the owner.
A baby gate that we did not need but couldn't leave open.
A renter that never once answered any of my messages that I sent. This should have been the biggest RED FLAGS but I believed what someone wrote....driving up to the house it really doesn't resemble the picture she uses., so another red flag.
Needless to say, I didn't go on vacation to do 2 or 3 loads of laundry on the day I am leaving. So we left and found a hotel that gave us breakfast, cable wifi and a password, and did not require doing laundry. And answered all my questions without a problem.
Sadly, I am out $700.00 because I believed someone and what they wrote and then spent more money for another place to stay but at least we had a great vacation!!!

Hi diann,
Sorry you did not enjoy your stay. There was never any mention of WiFi issues, all of your complaints are addressed in the listing. The laundry cleaning is a courtesy, not a demand. This is explicitly stated in the house rules on the site and in the listing. You were not required to do so. To complain about something that is not required is not really fair nor does it make much sense. Additionally, at no time did I ignore your outreach. I responded to all your outreach. With regard to the Apple TV, no cable, etc. this is also clearly stated in the listing. At no time did you mention the upstairs tv didn’t work. I could have resolved this issue. Additionally AT NO TIME was it mentioned that your stay was so bad you checked out early? Not true, you stayed the entire booking and I guess then checked into another place? Two things I would suggest moving forward. READ the listing, and READ the house rules for clarification. The rules are also posted inside the house up and downstairs, so to misconstrue the information really do wasn’t make sense, NOR does it seem honest. Your review Is red flagged with many inconsistencies . One more thing, if you had informed me about the outlets and WiFi I could have resolved that easy. You probably unplugged the router downstairs. Or sometimes after an electrical storm the outlets need resetting. All you had to do was press the reset button. But since we were NEVER informed of such an issue it went unresolved. Better communication on your end could have made it a more enjoyable stay. We live on site so your issues could have been resolved within minutes. For the future, you might consider a more proactive approach to bring resolution instead of just walking away feeling miserable and victimized.

Decent option for a short layover before we moved on
It was a little hard to find the property because the road it is on is a little dirt road out of the way. Once we found it, Sophia was great with her immediate responses and we had a nice stay with family. The VRBO property was converted from the garage of the house occupied by the owner. The big yard with privacy fence is actually the front yard.
Quaint and adorable cottage, all the necessary amenities, hosts were very attentive/responsive, easy travel/access within town/neighborhood. Overall a wonderful stay.

Very cluttered
Lets first say Stephen was very responsive in taking care of any issues we may have had. That being said let me continue with our stay. The cottage is very cluttered and electrical cords are running all over, which kinda made me nervous due to fire hazards. The only TV that worked was downstairs and was powered by Apple so if you are an android user, you will have to sign on to your own apps, although the owner did sign on to Apple with his sign on. There are post it notes everywhere with instructions. The fenced in area was great for dogs, but needed some cleanup.

Ok BUT/not cleanliness like hotel hosting! Needs sanitary products used for guest use! Pillows were badly stained! Yuk! Floor in bathroom by toilet nasty!
We stayed at this property due to the price/location. We were attending a wedding and the venue was only 10 minutes from the property. That being said the location is a good 20-30 minutes from beaches, historic downtown, airport, etc. which in description said everything was only 15 minutes away (of course didn't really factor in traffic). We also were able to bring our dog, which is a plus. The property itself was clean and the decor was eclectic but overall was a good stay.
