Great views of Clark Sound and Morris Island Lighthouse, spectacular sunrises!

Welcome to Behren's Island! Not really ON an island, but a view that has inspired & been painted by several local artists. From the windows and your private patio you are able to see the historic Morris Island Lighthouse and panoramic marsh views. If you are over 24 years of age, we invite you to stay. Children under 14 are not allowed.

Our home has been divided into a duplex. Your private, renovated two bedroom/ two bath flat occupies the top floor of our elevated home. You are afforded breathtaking views from the property.

The colorful lounge area with smart TV was inspired by our trips to Spain, France and Central America. A full service kitchenette includes everything you may need to make your stay enjoyable. The dining table seats four and offers spectacular views!

The "Charleston Room" is elegantly furnished with antiques and has a TV and sound machine. The impressive ensuite spa bathroom was just renovated and has a jetted tub for two, as well as a large stand alone shower and dual sinks.

The serene "Folly Room" has photos and prints of local sights. It is furnished with a loveseat, queen bed, dresser, and sound machine. The hall bath serves this bedroom.

Designated, off street parking for two cars (only).
Private, ground level patio seats four. It is dedicated for your stay and has expansive marsh views!
Private, front entrance with contact free check -in.
Guest pets are not allowed, no exceptions.
Professionally cleaned between check-ins with Lysol and Clorox products. We do not have an on site washer dryer for quests.

We are 2.5 miles from Folly Beach, just off Folly Rd. There is a dedicated bike lane. Harris Teeter grocery, a gas station and beach store are across from the neighborhood entrance.
Guests say they appreciate the convenience to Folly Beach and Downtown Charleston, without being in the middle of the crowds. If you like to get your steps in, our quiet neighborhood is an approx one mile loop and includes two natural ponds.
A variety of popular restaurants with outdoor seating are nearby, as well as delivery from several restaurants.

Historic Downtown Charleston is 7 miles/15 min away by car, or approx $25 via ride share. Some of the finest dining and shopping in the southeast can be found downtown, but make sure to leave time to take in some of the beautiful historic landmarks that made our city famous!

Nice property, clean and good views. The description of the listing should include that there are two flights of stairs and that the outside area cannot be accessed from inside the unit. Owner very friendly and helpful.

Charleston Fun on a long weekend

We enjoyed this property - our Hosts were helpful in everyway and the apartment was perfect. We enjoyed Folly Beach access via bicycle and also spent a morning in historic Charleston. We will be delighted to stay here again when we are next in the area.

Beautiful and quiet

We had a wonderful stay in this well-appointed apartment, which is the entire upstairs floor of a lovely home overlooking the marshes near Folly Beach. The views are gorgeous and make this a perfect accommodation for nature-lovers and bird-watchers. The owner was exceptionally helpful and responsive to questions, but never intrusive. Access from this location to downtown Charleston and elsewhere in the region was very easy. We would certainly stay here again!

Great location.

My family picked this location because it is 5 minutes from Folly Beach and 15 minutes to Charleston. I had no idea how impressive and beautiful the marsh was and it led me to research about the tides. Sunrise every morning was gorgeous! The place was perfect for sleeping, enjoying breakfast and coffee and then off we went for a day or exploring. We ate most suppers at Folly Beach. We had a wonderful trip.

Perfect in Every Way

This home was the perfect place for my sisters and I to get away and relax in the Charleston area. The views of the marsh were lovely. We were convenient to both the beach and the historic area. The house was comfortable but also beautifully furnished. The owners truly thought through everything we would need. We will definitely come again!

Exactly as described!

I just returned today from my stay in Charleston SC. This home is beautiful and location was just perfect with easy access to Folly Beach as well as 15 minutes from downtown Charleston. Had everything we needed and the sunrises from the back side of the house are amazing! Met the owner and she was great...even provided beach chairs as this past weekend was a hot one in Charleston. Can't wait to stay again.

Online listing is accurate but does not do justice to the very comfortable apartment. Super clean; amazingly equipped (bandaids and tooth paste in the drawer). Hosts are detail people and understand hospitality.

Perfect location

We spent our 10 year anniversary trip here. Loved it. The owner thinks of the little things you might need and has them readily available. Views were gorgeous and super close to the beach was perfect. Parking is plentiful by Folly beach, you can park on the right side anywhere as long as you’re off the road. So free parking was everywhere. Charleston is the best!

The Absolute BEST

The property was perfect. The location cannot be beat if you are anticipating visiting different areas around Charleston. The proximity to Folly was literally a stones throw and Charleston could be reached in 10 minutes by car. The home is stocked with so many thoughtful amenities including simple items like allergy medicine and headache medicine. There was an abundance of towels and toilet paper. The view of the marsh is the cherry on the pie. Stunning!

Good Location

It was a short 5 minute drive to Folly Beach, and just 15 minutes to downtown Charleston. Quiet neighborhood and nice views of the marsh. Note that there are LOTS of stairs to get up to the unit, so be prepared for that, especially if you have heavy luggage. The beds had seen better days so not the most comfortable, but they were adequate. Nice jetted tub in the huge master bathroom, which also has a very nice (large) shower. All in all, a good place to stay to see Charleston.

Super clean and comfortable

The property is between Folly Beach and Charleston. A quick easy drive to downtown Charleston. Property is actually nicer than the pictures in my opinion. Linens were nice quality, beds were comfortable and it was a great landing place for our visiting. Behren was very responsive for info..Location was very quiet. Decorations are well done and have a lot of local flair/connection to them. Nothing at all we needed other than what was there. There are two flights of stairs to get to the main area so if there is a problem there, just know. 5 star stay.

Handy for Charleston

This property is very handy for visiting Charleston and was a relaxing place to return to for our group after a busy (and very hot) day of sightseeing. Our concerns about potential traffic on the drive in were unfounded and the journey in both directions was no problem with ample parking in the Visitor Centre. Bedrooms and lounge area were very comfortable. The kitchen facilities are very limited, but this is made clear in the details. As a group of four Brits who like their tea the addition of an electric kettle would be very welcome to do away with having to boil water in a pan on the hotplate. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit the area or holiday in Folly Beach itself.

Hot tub was very clean and the whole Flat was very clean! The kitchenette was awesome, everything was there. Even Coffee, Powder Creamer, Sugar packets and tea bags. Condiments in fridge, paper towels and tiolet paper!!
