The Gatlinburg Chateau is situated just over a block from the main street of Gatlinburg. We have free wireless internet. There is an outdoor seasonal pool and hot tub for your enjoyment and relaxation after a day of visiting the area. Our location is conveniently within walking distance of Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies. This unit features two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. It also has a queen-size sofa bed in the living room. The kitchenette consists of a full-size refrigerator, microwave, Coffee Maker, stove, and oven.

Quick trip

At last minute we planned a adult trip and this place was clean easy to book and just enough space! There were 5 adults and everyone was comfortable. A little awkward when our 5th person needed a to use the restroom due to the bathrooms was in the 2 rooms lol but other than that great property and the property manager was very polite and helpful. I would stay here again for sure!

Good location but NO HOT TUB as advertised

Love location and overall condition of complex is decent. Great place to have black bears entertain you off your balcony. Elevator broke down with my family trapped inside for over an hour. No response from emergency phone number provided. Biggest disappointment was hot tub has been inoperable for quite awhile with no immediately plan to rectify but continues to be Highlighted to prospective guests. No hot tub is a deal breaker for me and was disappointed to learn of the lack of full disclosure.

Nice Space but Needs Improvements in Comfort and Cleanliness

We appreciated the location and the space the unit offered, but unfortunately, our experience was impacted by a few key issues that should be addressed.1. Temperature Control in Master Bedroom: The master bedroom remained uncomfortably warm throughout our stay. Although the hosts thoughtfully provided a fan, the A/C vent in the room is located behind the door and very small. It did not adequately cool the space. Even with the thermostat set to 67F in the living room, the bedroom temperature stayed between 75–80F, which made sleeping difficult.2. Odor Upon Arrival: When we first arrived, there was a strong sewage smell in the master bathroom and closet area. Thankfully, the smell dissipated after some time, but it was an unpleasant way to begin our stay.3. Cleanliness Concerns: The overall cleanliness of the unit fell below our expectations. When we shortened the table leaves, we found crumbs coating the sides. The pull-out couch mattress had visible stains and crumbs, making it feel unsanitary. We also noticed dirt and debris under furniture like beds, couches, and chairs—areas that should be clean and guest-ready.With some attention to cleanliness and improved ventilation in the master bedroom, this property could be much more comfortable for future guests.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo is in a great location BUT you are on a major slope, so parking isn't the best. There is parking spaces but if you aren't lucky enough to get one right in front of the building, you better be in good shape to walk that slope, to get to it. It is close to alot of attractions and there are trolly stops close by but once again walking back up to the condo, is rough. As for the condo itself, it was minor cleaned, not major.(not spotless). The air vents were so thick with dust, that they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. (We cleaned them). Floors were swept but not mopped, after less than an hour of removing shoes and walking in our socks, the bottom of our socks were black. We had on white socks. Cookware is extremely old and with rust. Towels are provided but once used, you will have to take them to management to exchange them out or spend 3.50 a load to wash them. Management is located off of property and washer is only big enough to put 5 towels in at a time. I recommend bringing extra towels. The pool is extremely small, it goes from 3ft to 5ft. Condo isn't a bad place, just needs more cleaning attention and either management on site to exchange towels are allow use of washers, to wash them free of charge. It also needs to be posted on their site, that the condo is on a slope, although my group is fit, that doesn't mean everyone is. I would not recommend to anyone in a wheelchair or with health issues.

The chateau was clean, well stocked, had plenty of space, and was beautiful and had its own balcony where we could enjoy the pretty weather and scenery. It was in a good location and seemed to have everything you could ask for. My family and I definitely enjoyed it and when we find ourselves back we hope we can stay there again. The directions were easy to check in and we had a great stay!!!!

The "check-in" process was AMAZZING! I received an email with detailed directions on the process and it was the most simple check in EVER! I will say that my only negative was that the booking said it was 1050 ft from Old Red restaurant and that would be 1050' if you were walking thru the woods to get there. If you're actually walking the sidewalk it is definitely more than 1050' to Ole Red...on a hill!!

The living room needed a recliner or another chair to sit in and the kitchen cookware needs to be updated. The kitchen needs a strainer, wine opener and new pots and pans, other then that great place to stay. Best experience was seeing mama bear and cubs at the house next door.

The master bedroom was hot. It did not have an air conditioner in it. It was cooled by a 4x4 vent that was behind the bedroom door. We also saw several ants in the condo. We really like the balcony. Would be nice if some of the trees were trimmed. You could see downtown better. The trees blocked the view. They need instructions to tell you how yo get extra towels. There were 6 towels and 4 washrags for 5 people for 4 nights. The lady was very nice when I called and asked how yo get extras. We just had to go yo the office that was about 1 mile away.

Nice, convenient location

Good location. It is great for 1-4 people, but I think it would be tight with 6 people. It is close to downtown but the walk involves a couple of hills and some steps. Not very strenuous but just a heads up. As noted in another review, there are no hangers, so bring your own if you want to hang your clothes. The kitchen is small. Freezer does have an ice maker. The balcony is nice. The WiFi is a little slow. Gas fireplace gives nice ambiance, not much heat. Hot tub & pool area were nice & clean.

When no coat hangers is your only complaint, that is about as good as it can get. Oh yeah, no ice machine but rooms had freezer and ice trays as well as ice maker.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Securing the location was easy. The property is a bit aged and in need of some basic repair and upgrade. Low-hanging fruit would be to make sure there are lights/light bulbs working in each room. When I turned the shower on for the first time a whole bunch of hair bubbled up and out; the tub had not been cleaned in a while. The bed in the first room when you walk in, was HORRIBLE. It felt like I was sleeping on a cot on the floor. I woke up in the middle of the night and went into the kitchen for water only to find tiny bugs crawling around. There were also A LOT OF lady bugs around the edge of the ceiling in the living room area and the bedroom with the bigger bed. This property has potential but needs to be properly updated and cleaned ... needs some TLC.

Then when I go back to towels and washcloths they didn’t have enough. So we were suppose to go back later that night. They were already closed and it was 30 mins early. Them bath tubs weren’t clean. Mattress were very hard. Also the day of check out they were suppose to be open and no one was there.
