The Neighborhood:
Located just 2.5 hours away from Perth, and within easy driving distance to popular hotspots Yallingup (10 minutes), Eagle Bay (10 minutes) and Margaret River (30 minutes), Quindalup is the perfect base to explore everything our region has to offer. The best news? You don't have to visit Margaret River township to enjoy some of the most famous and world class wine, as there are dozens of cellar doors to choose from all the way down the Cape. The nearest cellar doors to Dunsborough are within a 15 minute drive (Palmer, Flametree, Deep Woods, Marq, Wise), and there are numerous local operators offering winery and brewery bus tours. For the beer lovers out there, nearby Busselton is home to two fantastic tap rooms - Rocky Ridge and Shelter Brewing Co.
Dunsborough is the jewel of the South West region, located on the beautiful shores of Geographe Bay. At low tide, the town beach has shallow, clear waters, perfect for kids to play and splash around safely, and on a nice day you will find happy groups of visitors and locals alike paddling, floating, fishing and boating in the serene waters of the bay. Just outside of town there are some more secluded beaches, like Curtis Bay and Meelup.
Dunsborough is home to many lovely local boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants, and provides a hub for everyone to enjoy good shopping, food and entertainment. A laidback coastal town with a lovely community feel, it experiences a large swell in population during high season, yet you would be amazed how peaceful holidaying here can still be, thanks to beautiful surrounding bush, leafy suburbs and long stretches of pristine beach.
It's not just about summer here, despite its popularity thanks to the glorious weather; all year round, even when we may be less blessed with warm days and sunny skies, visitors can enjoy hikes, biking, surfing, off-roading, horse riding, cave tours, water sports, fishing, wine and beer tasting, and generally eating and drinking one's way around the area! Visit in spring to catch the whale migration and wild flower season, or in autumn to enjoy quieter beaches and excellent surf.
Please see the Guidebook for our personal recommendations on where to eat, drink, shop and what to see & do in this fabulous region. This list is by no means exhaustive, however, so please get in touch if you need any pointers ahead of your stay.
The Margaret River Wine Region is one of the most prestigious winemaking areas in the world. Considered a “boutique” region, production is relatively small and quality-focused. The unique microclimates and fabulous soils here mean that producers are able to make some of the world’s best Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, along with a host of other single varietal and blend wines; most wineries will have a good selection of options, including various sparkling wines, Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz if the flagship varieties aren’t your cup of tea. Many of these wineries are also home to phenomenal restaurants, and your dining options will range from full tasting menus to casual pizzas or grazing boards. If you have any particular restaurant on your wish list, we strongly recommend booking ahead all year round. In peak summer season (December-February), bookings are essential and may need to be made several weeks or months in advance. Please contact us directly if you would like tailored recommendations for your self-guided winery and/or brewery tour. If you have time, we highly recommend buying a ticket onto one of the many locally operated winery and brewery tour buses, for an unforgettable day out of excellent food and drink.

We had a really lovely stay under the Quindalup peppermint trees surrounding Edgewater house. Great relaxing holiday home with a nice feel. Just a stone throw away to the water and the communication we had before we checked in was really good. Would recommend staying here with the family.
We stayed for 7 nights over Christmas and could not have chosen a better holiday home to stay in!! Right opposite the beach, surrounded by Peppermint trees the house was a perfect set up. Everything you could possibly need was supplied including two huge umbrellas for the fantastic deck and a variety of table and chair set ups. We had an amazing week 😎
Although the lack of fridge and blocked plug was unavoidable and that someone came out to see if they could assist, a little offer of a discount might have been the right thing to do.
Other than that lovely location.

Response from VrboOwner on 8 December 2023
Hi Meg
I am so sorry. You were very adamant that the fridge didn't both you and that you didn't want us to provide anything to assist you, as you weren't really using it. We also offered to sort out the slow draining sink but you insisted that you didn't want it done. If we had realised that this was more of a problem for you then of course something would have been done to compensate. We responded immediately and offered to attend the property immediately but you asked us not to come until the morning so I am a bit confused as to why you are disappointed. Good News is that the fridge has been replaced and the sink is draining well.
This property was fantastic…. Great location with everything we needed.
We loved the property & location. Excellent communication from
Cheryl.
The only suggestion we do have is a few more mirrors!
With 8 ladies staying together and only one mirror in the bathroom was challenging ☺️
Only positive things to say, great weekend with friends just enhanced by the beautiful house and location, everything was just easy communication, instructions etc all brill
Thank you
Great location, comfortable lodgings, beautiful setting !
Comfortable and relaxing with the trees and access to the beach. A small blower to blow leaves off the deck would be great. Access to darts for outside dartboard would be fun. A new wok would be a good hygiene investment.
We loved our stay here. Peaceful, perfect location with the beach across the road. Everything we needed, great communication with the owner. A few minutes from town. Definitely stay here again !
We had an awesome weekend away! Multiple rooms for different couples/ families to stay, big backyard and awesome front yard with a fire pit. Definitely best part was sitting out the front on the balcony, definitely would recommend and stay again!
Clean comfortable accommodation. Downstairs bedroom quite small.
A little further out of town than we expected but upside to this was that it was lovely and quiet. Would stay again.
This is a nicely renovated property in a beautiful location. The balcony area is absolutely fantastic, made all the more enjoyable by the surrounding peppermint trees. The garden is definitely a highlight. I do feel this property is a little overpriced though as the downstairs bedroom and bathroom are very average.
We had an amazing long weekend at the property. It was really well equipped and the house lovely and warm. Could not fault it. Will be staying in the future that’s for sure. Thanks again to Rebecca for a well organised stay easy book in and easy exit.
We enjoyed staying at the property - nice open spaces to socialise with big balcony. We enjoyed being opposite the beach.
The showers are a bit weak and rooms quite small but otherwise all good.
