Yarra Ranges Country Apartment is centrally located between the Dandenong Ranges and Yarra Valley near Melbourne Australia. Pet Friendly, fully self contained with views to the hills. Close to Wineries, Restaurants , Puffing Billy and Healesville Sanctuary.

This is a studio apartment with king bed, plus separate kitchen/laundry and a number of outdoor areas.

Yarra Ranges Country Apartment is a romantic retreat for Weddings only 5 mins from Chateau Wyuna and 20 mins to other major Wedding Venues.

A safe area is provided for pets where adults can sit and enjoy a relaxing refreshments overlooking the beautiful Mt. Dandenong Ranges. Beautiful colourful birds visit our garden such as the majestic King Parrot and you may even get to hand feed them.

We are in a great position for cycling and Mountain Biking with many trails including Warburton Rail Trail and challenging tracks such as Temple of Zoom, Rib Track and Yabby Hill Climb close by in the Dandenong Ranges. We provide a Krush Cleaning Bay and Products to protect your valuable asset.

We are environmentally friendly so we have solar panels, we recycle and compost and have tank water for the garden.

The accommodation sits in 1 acre of garden situated on the last hill (Mount Evelyn) in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges before it drops down to the wine and food region of the Yarra Valley and is central to both tourist areas. There are a number of beautiful walks, including into the village of Mount Evelyn.

Yarra Ranges Country Apartment is only minutes away from wineries, cafes, restaurants, nurseries, Wedding Venues like Chateau Wyuna, Gum gully Farm and the Twisted Vine, Tesselaars Tulip Farm, Kuranga Nursery and Silvan Dam and you-pic farms are just up the road. There is so much to see and do in this region.

Lovely in Mount Evelyn

What an idyllic spot, Mount Evelyn, with its abundance of available walking trails and proximity to the Dandenong Ranges. Mary was an exemplary host, with lovely personal touches to ensure our confortable short stay in the cozy fire-heated conversion. We were so happy to be able to stay where our dogs were welcome. Loved it.

cosy little slice of the Yarra Rangers

i hired this property because it is dog friendly and it was perfect. nice cosy little space with beautiful gardens. the dog loved the in enclosed area outside to explore. it was easy to get around and close to some walking trails. would totally stay here again

Perfect stay with lovely hosts.

We had a very enjoyable stay here the house is beautiful very quiet and relaxing. The place was suited very well for young children as we have 2 toddlers. They really enjoyed the trampoline in the garden. The hosts were very accommodating and even helped us get last min tickets to the puffing billy. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely area, Kookaburras laughing were a standout. Great views of the hills. Just one 'complaint'...... it was a pity that the backyard area wasn't totally enclosed, as our dogs had to be on the lead the whole time outside the carport area. Even though they are little dogs they do like to explore, I understand that there may have been a perceived issue about picking up droppings after them, but we are vigilant about picking up after our dogs. Otherwise it was adequate for our purpose of stay. Mary and Anders were very attentive, and concerned when we had a power outage due to storms.

Four nights sojourn

The property was in a quiet lovely location, very near to all the Yarra Valley wineries, cafes, galleries, breweries and cheese making. The facility is good if you are having trouble with your mobility, shower chair and toilet seat provided. The larger bathroom has a shower which can be used for people who have to sit in the shower. Not suitable for wheelchair users though. But very usable for walking frame and walkers. It is big enough for a family of four. The Apple TV service was wonderful. Wi-Fi excellent. Milk and chocolates and Timtams provided. In the fridge there was, Brie cheese and quince jelly. The gas fire was amazing as it was really cold. We had a barbecue tea one night using the lovely barbecue supplied. Everything was lovely, Mary the hostess came on arrival and showed me around and explained everything to me. She was also there when I left and interested in how everything went. 5* I wouldn’t hesitate to tell family and friends about it.

A lovely cottage

Mary and Anders cottage was lovely and on a quiet street near the Aquaduct trail. Mt Evelyn has everything you need including some lovely cafes. We took our two little dogs and they enjoyed the garden and the walks

This was a great base for a visit to Melbourne. Caught train to city. Hosts were fantastic. Beyond clean and very comfortable. We had our dog with us and was safe yard to leave him for the day. Nice touches with cheese and chockies most appreciated. Thank you. We will be back.

Quiet, Cosy Retreat

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Mary and Anders provide a sparkling clean, comfortable & cosy apartment with all the amenities you need for a little getaway. The fireplace, along with the outlook into the little courtyard and the views across the hills to Mt Dandenong in these quiet surrounds added to the peace and tranquillity we were after for our few days away. Mountain Loveliness

We loved our stay here. Mary and Anders are the perfect hosts! Plenty of room for our Labradors to roam outside and good undercover areas too. Warm and cosy! We had moved away from Melbourne to the North east and come back for regular Doctor and Dentist appointments...We were able to stretch our few appointments over 4 nights with our Labradors this time. The spectacular beauty of the area is wonderful. Close to busier Lilydale if you need with multiple dog friendly parks (try the great Mt Evelyn Recreation Reserve next to the footy ground). Beautifully presented and great walking amongst the Mountain Ashes and along Olinda Creek. Or the Lilydale Dog off leash area just below the Lake. Thank you!

We loved our getaway in the Dandenongs, the accommodation was immaculately clean and well presented. The icing on the cake for us was that we were able to take our dog, she was very safe in a secure area right at the back door and was even able to come inside in the kitchen area. The facilities ensued we had every comfort we needed.

We bought this property 47 years ago because we love the country side and the mountain fresh air. We wanted space for our children to grow up in and now our grandchildren are also enjoying this beautiful space.

What makes this property unique

The privacy, seclusion, quiet area and native birds are what so many people comment on. We offer all the comforts of home. Views to the hills. Autumn colours and Spring Blossoms. Colourful native birds constantly feed in our garden. There are many lovely bush walks. The Wilderness is not far away, where you can really get away from it all.
