This was a great 'home away from home'. We all had a fantastic time staying here and everything we could have possible wanted was in the house - books to read, board games to play, crab rakes, wood for the fire. Even candles when the local area had a power outage. We had a fantastic time. FYI, the ad says every room has queen beds - there is one queen, one double and 6 singles (3 bunks). Michael is very communicative and was very quick to respond to my messages. We would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful beach home RIGHT on the water in what felt like a quieter area of Black Point. Was great to sit high up and look down on the kids playing on the beach and in the water. Good space for our family and the dog. Michael was very easy to work with as a host and we hope to return again in the future!
Overall it was a great stay, the host was great with responding and repairing the issue of the septic tank. It's a really good shack for kids and to have pets. Maybe in need of a bit of an update and a solid clean. Dead mice in the cupboards, beds full of sand, windows, doors covered in big spider webs.
We had a wonderful stay here.
Looking forward to returning.

The location of this property is outstanding - right on the beach in a lovely location. There were some issues for my friend and me relating to what we felt was offered in relation to the high cost of renting the place. The house was superficially clean, but really needs a deep clean by a professional team, to tackle dirty cupboards, ovens, skirtings etc. There were many cushions on sofas, but all pretty stiff with lack of washing. Better, in a shack like that, to dispense with most of the cushions to simplify cleaning,The shower cubicles require urgent attention. The shower I was using had a screen that was broken, and one of the taps came off in my hand while showering. We had to contact the owner about how to turn on the air conditioning, and he was very helpful. We gave up when trying to get the dvd to work. These things need to be included in the explanatory sheet we were given - not all of us are tech wizards.Over all, we felt as if we paid a huge price just for the fact of being on the beach while the shack itself had been allowed to deteriorate to increase monetary gain.In summary, we loved the location, but the shack did not quite measure up to expectations in a way that would have mitigated the cost.

I make no apologies for the pricing, if you're watching your pennies, then for two people maybe high, but for two families, six kids and pets it's dirt cheap. Regarding the shower screens, they slide perfectly, please use gently. Brute force does not help, nor does it help with the sliding doors.Re the comment on the cushions, well iv'e heard it all. Unfortunately when I checked after this occupancy , I found lights left on, taps still running, dishwasher still full, doors left open on wood shed, the house was not left as they found it. I was not happy!!! You can please some of the people some of the time, but not all , all of the time.
Lovely beach shack & coastal block right on the beacj
Perfect beach shack with verandah to relax and enjoy the view. Such a relaxing stay. Grateful to stay with our labrador with just loves the beach, as we do.
